1. I know what you mean about ebay but I found it by accident. Would this circuit be one you would be able to provide Kiogon and would it give the bass more oomph, for want of a better term? Also, what would the cost be. Thanks
2. I have a Squier Vintage Modified 77 Jazz Bass which has a bit of a thin sound compared with my Mexican Jazz. I have seen this loom on Ebay, which look interesting. 4. Buzzcocks tonight at Fibbers, York!
5. I think the MB200 would suit you perfectly. It's very versatile eq wise and it sounds like to would be loud enough for your purposes. I have one that i use as a backup (to a GK Fusion 550) but i play guitar in a band with another member here - he uses the MB200 up against 2 not hugely loud guitarists playing punk/70s stuff and it never suffers in the mix I am that other member! I use the MB200 with two Fender Rumble 112 v3's so I'm getting the full 200 watts, rather than the 140w but when I first go the amp I used it with a 210 cab and it still did the business.
6. Thanks, I thought I was right, but when self doubt creeps in, it's hard to believe you're right!
7. I've posted earlier about having new Fender Rumble cabs and Bonzodog has got me doubting myself about how I connect them up. The Rumble 112 v3 cabs have a speakon socket and a 1/4" jack socket. My amp is a GK MB200, which only has one speakon speaker socket. I connect them up with a speakon to speakon from the amp to the first speaker, then a 1/4" jack to a speakon in the second cab. Is this correct? I think it is but doubt has crept in!
8. No, I use a speakon to speakon then a 1/4" jack to a speakon daisy chained, which seems to work fine. I'll probably get told I'm doing it wrong but hey ho!
9. We usually do small to medium pubs, with just the pa for the vocals. There's two guitarists, drums and me and I very rarely go above 9 o'clock on the volume and no ones ever said they can't hear me.
10. I've now done a couple of gigs with both these cabs and the sound is fantastic. A much more solid tone, which seems to give more definition to my playing. I'm well pleased with them. I may now consider selling my GK210MBX cab now!
11. Size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it!
12. They do look good! I use a GK MB200 which I ran with one Rumble 112 & a GK210 cab, which sounded great most of the time but I think there was a conflict of the sound occasionally, they seemed to sound a bit "quavery", which is the best I can describe it. So hopefully this will sort that out.
13. Got myself a second Fender 112 v3 cab today. Hopefully this will give my sound a boost, I've only had a short blast, I'll try it it properly at my gigs next week.
14. Hi Dave, I don't know if there's a problem with the messaging service, I've sent two messages but heard nothing back. If you could message your details, I can then arrange payment. Thanks Andy
15. Hi Dave, Are either of these pedals still available?
16. I did wonder about going down the pedal route.
17. I'm currently pondering whether to change my amp head. I currently use a Gallien Kreuger MB200 head into a Gallien Kreuger 210MBX cab and a Fender Rumble 112V3 cab. The GK 210MBX is rated at 200 watts at 8 ohm and the Rumble is 500 watts program and 250 watt continuous at 8 ohm. I haven't looked at any specific amps, my thoughts are that I want one with a pre-amp to get a bit more grit. My question is what would be the ideal wattage amp? I'm not looking to get more volume as I find that I rarely go above 9 0'clock. I play in a four piece band of two guitarist's a drummer and me.
18. I agree that the badge is crap. I have a Rumble 12" cab and my badge has snapped and been superglued back together, it's not a good design!
19. Let's hope someone does it soon then. Cheers Andy
20. It is a great bass, fantastic growl!
21. I've always thought this one was too!
