  1. Hi, is this still available? cheers Andy
  2. Black Sterling by music Man SB14 Stingray bass made in Indonesia. Active electronics Smaller body & neck to give a Jazz style feel to the bass. A lovely bass to play but I just can’t get used to the active electronic’s & I gave come to the decision that I am a Precision man. The bass is in good condition & has recently been set up with new Rotosound Swing Bass 45 - 105 round wound strings. There is a small amount of buckle rash on the back, but it is minimal. Collection preferred from Harrogate but I could post at the buyers expense. I have an old battered case & a box I could send it in.
  3. Thanks Lozz & Dad,that’s what I thought but better to be sure. cheers Andy
  4. Thanks Lozz, that’s what I thought but better to be sure. cheers Andy
  5. This is probably a stupid question but here goes. On my Ashdown RM500 amp, does it matter which Speakon socket I use? I always use the top one but I find that when I am disconnecting the speaker, the back of the amp casing is a bit tight. The lower one would be easier but I don’t want to cause a problem. The speaker is a Barefaced 210 retro if that makes a difference.

  13. Indonesian Squier sunburst Stratocaster, very good condition. collection preferred from Harrogate. Priced for a quick sale.
  14. This was posted on the Burning Up Time Stranglers Facebook page. I presume that this was an ad in one of the music papers & someone obviously thought of a psychedelic connection.
  15. I had a Squier precision in the nineties and it was a ply body, can’t remember the weight. It had a great sound.
  16. To be fair to Elvis, I’m just reading his biography and he doesn’t hold back about re-using other people’s riffs. subterranean Homesick Blues was mentioned plus Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Stones plus many more.but let’s face it, most bands have borrowed riffs as the fancy takes them, some just get away with it.
  17. Hi Dan, do you have anymore info or even pictures of your dad playing this bass, it might trigger some memories. I’m sure I’ve seen a picture of either that or something similar but I can’t remember where, sorry. I’m also from Harrogate & have seen you playing in The Blues Bar with Ashley, who I know from a long time ago. I did see you playing with your dad there as well, was it Ashley’s 50th? Good luck with your search Andy
  18. Sad news about the passing of Dave Greenfield if The Stranglers. I have tickets for the last tour in October but I can’t see it happening. they have been a large part of my life from the age of 14 and he will leave a big gap in my life.
  19. There this for sale I here, nothing to do with me
  20. I use shower head washers with no problems, although they are showing signs of cracking but at about £1.00 a pair, it’s no great outlay.
  21. I've recently finished reading it and found it to be an excellent book, I was also expecting more about the Chilli Peppers but he certainly had a full on childhood/adolescence. I'm not a particular fan of the Chilli Peppers but I do like to read about most forms band/music. I'd recommend it.
  22. This one originated in the deep dark north but they seem to appear all over the country, even the world, probably with very mixed results! I’m glad mine sounds the way it does though.
