  2. Don’t let the looks of this bass fool you.. it’s not a Geddy.... it’s a better quality definitely... comparing it is a better sound and feel than the realitively new American Professional series and on par with the Elite or even CS. But whatever.. it is a great beautiful black bass in it’s own right!
  3. Fender American Vintage (AVRI) 1974 Jazz Bass built in the USA around 2013 in great condition including nice OHSC and 'ashtrays'. No issues. The bass looks fantastic and the narrow U-shaped neck is a race track, The sounds truly is like an early seventies JB. What is not to like? Shipping well packed (almost) anywhere at buyers expense and risk. Any questions? Let me know! Thanks for looking. Bassed regards, Willem
  4. Fender Jazz Bass American Professional V 2017 gigged three times only. Some small signs of playing but other than that like new. These new Fender series are really good and have great value for money. Two Michael Bump-designed V-Mod single-coil Jazz Bass pickups replaced by Liny Fralins with overwound bridge pickup for a fatter 'Jaco' -sound. I will sell/ship the original V-mods with the bass. Also I can re-install them and keep the Lindy Fralins. Then the bass costs €1250. The V-mods are a bit more modern sounding and the Fralins more traditional. Slim modern “C”-shaped neck profile Bone nut; 20 narrow-tall frets for familiar playing feel HiMass™ Vintage bridge for increased sustain Fluted-shaft tuning machines Posiflex graphite rods for neck reinforcement Includes Elite Molded hardshell case Adjustable +/- 19mm spacing, low action (G 1,5 mm), 4259 grams on my kitchenscale, well balanced... Why selling? I've got too many great (high end) basses and got to 'kill some darlings'. This bass is worth every single €, £ or $!' Other questions? Let me know! Thanks for looking, Willem
  5. Different..... neckshape, pickups, preamp, truss rod, tuners... Quite a different bass I guess
  6. Thanks for your suggestion. I know de GHier basses are great I even had one too. But I have a very nice old BB2000 Yamaha which is enough fretless for me!
  7. The Fender P bass '78 is in The Netherlands!
  8. This Precision bass 1s built like a tank and plays and sounds like a dream. It has been played a lot and it shows. The bass looks great on stage but when you take a closer look you will see small dents and scratches all over the bass as the pictures show. Technically it is 100%. I bought it a few years ago and I think the pickups and pots aren't original. It also has an orange cap which is not original I think. The body, neck, tuners, pick-guard etc. are original. I have no ashtrays. Maybe I can find a thumb-rest in my drawers but can't promise that. The bass is really exceptionally good. I have never really liked the harshness that basses like this may have but this one really is as sweet, sparkling and fat as no Precision maple bass I ever played. Whether you play rock, reggae, soul or funk etc. this bass delivers. Maybe the great sound is also related to the modifications. I really don't know. I do know what I hear and feel and that is great. The bass weighs a little less that 4500 grams which isn't light but considering the period not heavy either (as you will know some are over 5000 grams) and the balance is alright. Comes with an old hard shell case that looks pretty vintage but is not original. If you have a chance come over and try the bass. I'm so confident about this one that, if you are a serious buyer and know what a Fender Precision maple is like, I will return your money if you decide to return the bass. Why selling? I do have a very nice 1960 Precision which is enough Precision bass for me. I mostly play 5 stringers and have more great basses than fingers so this is a matter of killing darlings. The Bass is located in The Netherlands. Trying out on Glockenklang/Aguilar/GR Bass amplification gear and/or shipping is possible.
  9. Very low action (G string 1mm at 22nd fret possible), 4300 grams, well balanced, bright and dynamic sounding, cuts through the mix, very allround/versatile, great condition (small superficial scratches only). This is the real Xotic-deal: not the cheaper Pro Vintage series. New price +/- €3300... if available at all! Colour: Black cherry (not brown but dark/deep red/purple-ish) Body: Ash Neck & board: Maple Frets: 22 Tuners: Hipshot Dots: Luminova (glow in the dark!) Bridge: Hipshot A style Nut: Bone Electronics: master volume (push/pull passive/active), blend, passive tone, active (famous Xotic 3 band EQ + Mid and High EQ switch). Output volume control at the back accessible through the cover plate and adjustable with small Phillips screwdriver. Pickups: Xotic JB Single Coil Pickups. Bass is fitted with HRI-system which means no hum! This quite unique 'solution' is comparable with Alembic Series I/II dummy pickup! HRI can be turned off, but you won't! Case: Nice original Xotic hard-bag Trades considered. Cash preferred. More information or pictures on request! Thanks for looking. Willem
  10. No offense but I prefer 19-20mm spacing on any bass.
  11. BUMP! Make me an offer I won't refuse... as I couldn't couldn't resist buying back another beloved old bass of mine.....cash is king!
  12. So much love received including decent and less decent offers, but the AJ5 is still here desperately waiting to be loved by someone who appreciates the value of a Fodera rather than being interested but saying they are overrated at the same time... It is like wanting a Bugatti for the price of a BMW... Great cars, BMW's but no Bugatti..😉
