1. Bought this ages ago because I loved how with a shortscale hollowbody with flats it added to the boxy sound. It's nothing special, looks quite vintage, sounds boxy and small, but it is boxy and small. Weighs very little. The interesting thing is this amp has a very nice trem circuit that could probably be removed and run in a pedal. I believe it's made in the UK probably sometime in the 80's by a company called JHS. Only after £30 collected, can post but would rather not. Makes a great little practice amp or something quirky for studio use and like I say you may wish to take it apart and house the trem in a pedal. FYI my home practice rig now is a 1957 15w All Tube Dynacord amp with a custom Matamp 4x6 just incase you wondered why this was going
2. Analogman, accept nothing else
3. Drive is the gain, on mine it's a knob, on the standard model it clicks through various positions of set gains. Depth is like a thickness control or as it sounds a depth control, basically I have it on full and most indie player who use my amp at gigs knock it down a setting or 2. Presence is like a brightness control, it's all very interactive really and if you like a bright clicky sound you can get another chunk of headroom out of the amp by cranking this. Hope this helps
4. Again sat here not being used nor do I see them being used anytime soon. Dredgetone Angler 1st reissue so identical to the original with buffer and click to position gain knob, stuck on labels etc I believe only 10 of these were made before he made some changes to them. Fantastic pedal lots of great sound from low gain to tear your face off £120ono Ghost FX Bass GE Fuzz Face Pic to come tonight Bought a few months ago and never used, I have literally plugged it in to see if it works and then never bothered since, which is odd because it's one of the best Fuzz Faces I've tried and certainly the most vintage. I have 2 other fuzz faces that I've had longer and just seem to prefer using as I have good experience and knowledge of what they can do. Completely custom built with a custom enclosure I supplied so it's got a much more vintage look than your standard pedal. All the mods you'd expect to allow it to work with bass, no low end loss and works perfectly with active basses. Has 2 matched GE transistors and a bias control along with a volume and a gain. Has a wide range of sounds everyone of them fantastic. £90ono (Cost £130 New)
5. For all you know you'll need 2 Thanks for the kind words
6.
This one has actually gone round this forum quite a bit, this could even be your old one! haha.
Yeah it's Kiwi's you can tell by the slightly different power switch.
7. Bought this recently to tie off some loose ends in my effect evolution but given what I already own (which is pretty much the cream of the crop in the bass pedal world) it's just redundant to keep it. Here are my thought on it. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1193506 Some info http://www.tonefactor.com/mad-professor-bl...-overdrive.html Now this pedal is brand new, only used to see what I think of it, I have added velcro to the bottom as I do with every pedal that arrives , but like I say brand new, mint condition comes with box and everything. Price is £100 firm including special delivery, I won't budge on this as it's much less than the new price anywhere in Europe and way cheaper than buying from the US with postage and duties so please no offers or trades I don't have soundclips, nor is it likely I'll have time to do any before the end of the week. That should cover it all Cheers
8. Yeah, I don't think you'd benefit from it, I'm seriously considering selling mine. I pitted it against the Subdecay Tomato Fuzz and I prefered the Subdecay. Again that's not to say it's bad, it just depends on what you own and unfortunately given everything I own it's just redundant and I tend to let the new pedals go over replacing something I've had a while.
9.
Pure gas for that mini dirt board! Those connectors look well tidy - where dya get them from?
Ebay I think, they were very cheap but sound great and with me mainly using pt mini and nano boards I don't really struggle with length.
10. Will do my best but its the 1st reissue so it's identical to the old one as opposed to the newest ones which have slightly more gain on tap apparently
11. Straight into the amp it's not designed to go in the fx loop
12. What do you own?
13. M13 is the better pedal if it's going to be your only pedal and you really like to experiment. M9 is great if you just want it as part of your board as like you say once you run a comp all the time you don't have a lot else to play with. Personally I have an M13 and then small boutique pedalboards. M9 is very cool though as it's very small compared to the M13 but they serve different functions, I had both for a while then sold the M13, then sold the M9 then rebought the M13. I use it at home to experiment with fx while my band board is pretty much set in stone, this covers everything else and prevents future purchases. M5 looks fun though
14. You can only imagine how much fun this is with a GT200 Ignore settings as was fiddling at time and almost all of those there sound like ass
15. Don't believe everything that you read, believe what you hear. I had no issues with the Facial Fuzz infact at one point it caused me to sell off all my boutique fuzz pedals. Tube comp makes a great phat boost and there are plenty of other great gain sounds in there that don't need to be blended
16. No worries I've not spent anymore time with any of these recently hopeing to get to noodle a bit tonight but we'll see.
17. Very classy, I like this a lot
18. Yeah for sure, Phat phuk is another pedal I need to try. Love one knob dirty boosts
