Make sure nothing is loose on the router and in the workspace before you start. A stray bolt destroyed a straight cutter on mine the other day... Fortunately it wasn't the round-over bit or I'd've been snookered for finishing the edges on the cab. A table isn't really necessary, as people have said you can get good results with a workmate + clamps and just take your time. Cutters with bearings on are extremely useful

Alex[/quote] Cheers dude, it's not obvious in the picture but there is a brace between the front and back. I'm gona do 5 sides and leave the front uninsulated since there's not a massive amount of space left to cover anyway. Will keep you posted.

I've got a load of wadding here to be stuck in The ABM doesn't even have any on the back wall Guestimating it'll weigh 15-18kg once finished, the old one is probably 35kg

Cheers, I'm hoping to have it finished over the weekend It's styled a little around my ABM410 TBH the tweeter couldn't have gone anywhere else without making the box bigger and on the ABM only the outside of the handles is the circular part - inside the cab it's actually just a square recess. The handles I have for this are circular. And cutting circles with a router as it spews dust into your face is one of the most difficult things ever

It's not much to look at atm (and had to use my camera phone sorry), rounded all the corners with the router earlier. Wasn't the bassist but the lead guitarist of some band we were playing with who I got attitude from. I was just showing their bassist the basics on the ABM and he comes over: "Who the f*** are you?". I informed him that it was my amp and asked if he could still play guitar with the headstock 3ft up his arse I never lend stuff out when I'm not gona be at the gig, and very rarely let people use my amp. I never let anyone use my guitars

I built a [i]huge[/i] 210 cab out of 3/4" MDF about 3 years ago, and due to being stored in a sh*t barn practice space the MDF has started to split... About a week ago I picked up some 12mm ply to make a compact 2x10" + tweeter using the Eminence Beta 10's out of the old cab. So far I've built it up to 5 sides (front baffle missing) with all the internal bracing done and cut the holes for handles/speakers/ports. Pics tomorrow

No, but thinking of making one after the 2x10", maybe a 12" + 6" + tweeter.

Setting my precision up atm is proving to be a nightmare - can't get the action any lower than ~4mm @ 12th fret without buzz on/above the 15th fret

FWIW the Squier VMJ is a very good instrument, I'd rather modify that than buy a more expensive bass to keep standard - just makes it a lot more personal IMO Edit: Then again I do like to build and modify stuff
