1. I just ordered my Orange Bass Terror 500 + SP212 pack! Can't wait to hear this beast!!! I think it will definitely give me something else in terms of sound and portability. I use a Mesa M-Pulse 600 through a Powerhouse 6x10 or through a Gallien Krueger SBX 4x10. I'm really into vintage tones, from Rock to Soul/Funk, and I hope this little rig will suit my needs. Being from Portugal it's actually difficult to try the exact gear you want before buying it... It'll take a week or so to arrive, though Also, do you think the Bass Terror will be nicely matched with the GK-SBX410, in relatively bigger concerts?
2. No one seems to mention the Fender TV Fifteen, has anyone tried this combo?
3. Here are mine: Fender Am. Vintage '62 Precision Bass ('82) Fender Am. Vintage '62 Jazz Bass Gibson Les Paul Oversized Bass Gretsch Broadkaster Bass Previously owned: Warwick Streamer Stage I 5 strings Much happier now...
4. So which cab would be louder and as a standalone cab? The obc115 or the sp212? I've heard the obc115 is a really good cab, but is it enough as a cab for small/medium gigs?
5. I'm also interested in that... The case I use for my M-Pulse 600 is ugly and heavy as hell!!
6. What are your thoughts on this particular amp? I've noticed there isn't a topic about it, and I'd like to know how well it delivers in terms of clear tone... I've read somewhere that it's difficult to reach high volumes in a clear tone, since the overdrive easily comes out. My current bands play 70's funk, rock and pop, and I wonder if this amp would give me something different from my Mesa. So what do you say?
7. Bad luck... It seems it was some kind of a scam. The cabs sounded terrible, no power at all, and completely incapable of handling the gain from my M-Pulse. I was a little bit suspicious because of the price, but now I understand... He said it sounded bad because the bass was in bad condition (a Warwick Thumb he had there), but honestly, I've seen my Mesa cab sounding awesome with a 100€ bass. What a disappointment
8. I'm gonna get it tonight and I'll tell you the results... The main doubt in my mind right now is if it's worth buying the 1x15 as well, since the price is also 200gbp. Do I really need the match up, having the 6x10? I can't decide myself! Edit: Actually he sells both for 360gbp...
9. Hey there guys! I'm about to buy a 2x10 mesa powerhouse cab, and I'd like to know how it performs alone... Are its 600W sufficient to handle a small gig, or is the volume too low? It will be paired with my M-Pulse 600, which will be underpowered, since the cab is 8ohm and the head is 4ohm... I already have a 6x10 powerhouse, so the large gigs are absolutely covered, so what do you think about this? Edit: I wasn't planning on buying it, but a guy is selling one for 250€ (200gbp), it seems to me like a hell of a good price. He's also selling a 1x15 for the same price, but I'm only looking for a small set...
10. I understand the derision thing... in fact, every time I've said this bass looks amazing ended up hearing comments like: "perhaps your inner guitar player is trying to get out... Anyway, it looks really well built, and since the basses I've got suit perfectly my needs for soul, funk and pop stuff, I think this one will rock out like a beast. I'll have to wait a few months before buying it, though... Summer gigs coming up!
11. Has anyone tried one of these already? I think I'm in love, I have to get one... The only problem is, being from Portugal, there's no way I can try it before, and there's not much info or videos about it. I'm a Fender guy, I have a Precision and a Jazz, both '62 reissues, and a Gretsch Broadkaster. Never put my hands on a Gibson bass before, so I just don't know what to expect...
12. Price drop to 1235gbp (1500€)!
13. It is a made in Japan model, exactly like this one -- > http://www.musicstore.com/en_EN/EUR/Basses/4-stringer/Gretsch-G6119B-Broadkaster-Bass-Walnut-Stain-incl.Case/art-BAS0003586-000
14. I'm thinking about selling my Gretsch Broadkaster Bass. It is in excellent condition and sounds even better than it looks. The only reason for the possible selling is I don't use it as much as I should, since I'm a Fender addict, and therefore end up playing my other basses. Price: [s]1335gbp (1600 euro)[/s] 1235gbp (1500 euro)
