1.
I was really pleasantly surprised by it as it was one I hadn't originally considered, a very ballsy useable sound, also a really easy player, I'd hold on to it but I've got a new Shuker coming in so need to free up some cash.
I tried this bass last week, and it's an absolute cracker ! Very playable and in superb condition.
I can also vouch for Chris as being one of the best to deal with.

Introduced in 1976, the StingRay was the first bass guitar to feature active electronics and advancements such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss-rod system, and rock-solid bridge, all of which keep it on top of the pack. The StingRay is constructed with a select natural hardwood body w/ black scratchplate, unlined Pau-Ferro neck, Schaller BM tuners, 2-band active EQ, and a MusicMan humbucking pickup.

    :)

Collection from London is preferred but am open to meet half way if outside. Message me with any questions.
Welcome to the site !

Serial, age , any mods or refinishing Andy ?
    Important information for prospective buyers.

    Thanks
    Colin

Absolutely +1 :) . Fireglow, love it, utterly iconic, Rickenbacker produce special colours (said to be 'limited editions') each year and because people and dealers see them as new 'collectibles', they ask silly prices, but they dont play any better. The Fireglow however, goes on and on. This is the classic colour that looks so spectacular on stage. (OK....rant over.....I just hate new collectables.....sorry ......I'll shut up now.....promise)

Nice to see it going for a very good price . Grab it while you can !

    Bump for a Classic

  4. Hi Joachim.

A warm welcome to basschat !

There quite a few things we would like to know.

    1. Which model is it , an SB-2 ?
    2. Could we have some pictures of the front , headstock and metalwork please ?
    3. Does it have a case
    4) Is it the UK ?
    5) How heavy is it - G&Ls can be sometimes a little heavy.

Sorry for asking all these questions in one post, but they are the sort of things most people might want to know, and will help sell your bass.

    Good luck ! :)

  5. Another legacy item from my string box.

These are as new. I remember mounting them on a P-bass and removing them after about 10 minutes - soft feeling slick strings but sounded too different to my normal elites for my liking. They are the Polyweb type, not the later Nanoweb. Cost me £24.95 at the time.

    £12.00 posted within the UK.

  6.
Shame my set hadn't arrived this morning as I'd have probably had the full set and the singles off you.. need to see how they'd fit the Bolin. :)
From the other posts, I can see you've had fun finding strings for your Bolin. See how you go with the first set, and the we can discuss the singles if you feel they are the strings for you-hoo.

PS Hope you got my mail saying they were being posted today. If not, my apologies.

  7. After the initial deluge of requests Ive got only one set left. The outer sleeves of this set are tatty, but each string is in a cellophane inner and is the same unused condition as before. I'll throw in a loose extra 1st , if anyone wants this set.

£16.50 posted to UK, as before

    Also have a few singles at £3.50 each : 2x1st, 2nd, 4x3rd or £17.50 the lot posted

  8. Archaeological find from my cupboard. Black flatwounds. Unused, (never mounted on a bass), in original packaging, and the strings inside appear to be in excellent condition.

Suspect these strings are from a long time ago (....anyone date them ?)

£6.50 posted in the UK anyone ?

  9. Having a clearout of my cupboards and I came across a few sets of these. They are unused, and I've had them in store for many years, but they've been kept warm and dry and the strings seem to be in perfect condition, although packets are a little crumpled.

They retail for £38-£43, so I thought £16.50 a set (postage included) would be a good bargain for anyone wanting to try these classic strings.
