1. your ears are broken seriously though, a good compressor is in my opinion essential to a good clean punchy bass tone. when you find the one... you will know!
2. Insane price drop to £450!!!
3.
Excellent. If anyone else is interested in seeing if there is any benefit / additional convenience from a bulk purchase order of Iron Ether pedals (e.g. in terms of saved shipping or bulk discount) please give me a shout. We're up to a tally of 3 pedals so far, I'm guessing if we can get up to 5+ between us then that would start to make it interesting for them as manufacturers.
im in. i want one the tone at 7.39 in the demo is the synth tone ive been looking for fro years. sold
4. up that!
5.
A way around those that don't is to use a Boss LS-2 in mix mode.
this is exactly how i do it
6. ill take it. pmd
7.
@Gisser: you mentioned you were able to blend in some clean? But looking at the description of the Snowflake controls, it's not obvious to me how you are managing to do that? In particular, there is no explicit 'dry' on the Snowflake in the same way there is on the MXR:
I run a paralell dry loop for use with various other effects including mastotron and Beta.
8. On another note....Anybody tried the mxr M188 auto q??
9.
Good shout - indeed they do. They're selling them at £149 Speaking of £149 pedals(!) you were going to tell us all about your new Mad Professor Snow White - how are you getting on with it?
The short version is that it's the funkiest quackiest filter I ever played. I absolutely. Punchy attack that sounds fat and retains the quality of the signal somehow. love the sound of this thing when blended with some clean. However, it's really sensitive on the controlls. Like really!! Especially the sensitivity. Really small movements make big differences to the sound. This makes it really hard to dial in. Especially if you move the nobs by accident by accident. But even with that. I'm definatley keeping it. If I find any time, I'll post a vid for you guys
10.
I’m not sure any shop in the UK stocks SolidGoldFX stuff certainly nowhere in London to my knowledge!
Try coda music. I'm pretty sure they do
11. TBH its still an awesome bass for the money. just not for me because of the hole in the thing. you would probably make a few quid if you got it repaired it and sold it.
12. Greetings all, its time to move on my Cort A5 to make way for some new gear. This bass has been my main gigging bass for 2 years, and has been lovingly looked after throughout. Always cased and treated with care! as a result its in exceptional condition. a small amount of buckle rash, and some dial tarnish are really the only negatives to mention. This really is a very capable instrument. It can do everything from rounded thumpy old school to modern slap tones very well thanks to its 3 band EQ The bass was purchaced at bass direct 2 years ago, i think i still have the receipt! heres an add for the same guitar. (not mine pictured. but the spec is the same) http://www.bassdirec..._Custom_SP.html happy to pack for a courier of your booking, but would prefer local collection in shoreham will include a NEW unused set of Dean markley helix nickel strings £450
13. I went to see this today. It's in pretty good Nick except for a serious dent on the side-front corner. It needed a good clean and a setup and would benefit from some new strings. I was going to buy if it weren't for the damage.
14. i did exactly this with a BS2 and an LS2 it worked a treat!
15.
Any news from Tom? Interested to know
had a reply from tom... Hello, Sorry for the delay in my reply, very busy here at the minute It's not the octave up, it's a byproduct of the down octave generation. At playing volumes it shouldn't be audible over the main voices though. Thanks, Tom so its confirmed. the pedal is designed like that.
