This one is in fact a Lasido GR Z I (there's a Z II version too with Evans PJ magnetic pickups). They were all made by Godin under two brands and were exactly the same basses intended for different markets : Godin and Lasido GR.

I had something like 10 of these basses (including Z II and Prism), and on the original fretless (not defretted) models the fingerboard is ebony. These are amazing basses and the Zeta piezo system (as it's a whole system including the special preamp and special V shaped piezos) sounds really really really good. To avoid any further crackling, just push again all the wires (and there are a lot) in the automotive fast connectors and everything will work flawlessly.
