1.
http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/super-twelve.htm
That would also suggest that my bathroom scales need a new battery and that I really weigh something in the region of 30 stone.
2. I'm guessing as well. I'll let you know when I find out for sure.
3.
And there was the problem - the electrics in there are woeful, everything was humming/buzzing last time we played there (fun little venue though).
That's interesting and confirms my suspicions. A couple of photos added, happy to take offers on this.
4. Damn, I've been telling my local D'Addario man that I'm available for beta-testing for the last couple of years. I come back to Basschat after a bit of a break and see this. I'm off to try and find something smaller than me to kick.
5. If I can get my cab sold quick enough you'll be getting a PM
6. Beast of a thing, I think it's this one http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 I've been using it with a Barefaced cab for a couple of years now and it has served me well. I can't keep lugging it about though and the price reflects that. Collection only from Salisbury, it's very heavy. The only issue I've ever had is that the DI was a bit hummy both times I used it at the Dublin Castle, never been a problem anywhere else. A couple of not particularly good photos
7. Barefaced Super 12t, forerunner of the Barefaced Super Compact. I've had this for a couple of years now bought from here off Thor and I think Shockwave had it before. I think it's about 4 years old. Still in very good condition, the spec is much the same as the Super Compact but this one has a tweeter. Black steel grille. Comes in at 28lb on the bathroom scales. Reason for sale - it's a bit bulky for under the stairs and I keep knocking over my father-in-laws ashes every time I get the cab out for a gig. £550 collected from Salisbury, no postage available at the moment. Localish delivery may be possible depending on how well disposed Mrs D is feeling towards me. Photos for those who have a need to look at black boxes On the angle From the front Dull rear end Cheeky tweeter attenuator

9. I've still got the WTDI as it happens. The VT1 confused me a bit.
10. It's been a while so I thought I reintroduce myself to the new guys (who won't know who I am) and the old guys (who will have forgotten). I was semi-regular on here until a couple of years ago when a frozen shoulder and some accompanying unpleasantness forced me to stop playing. I'm mainly fixed up again so I'm back playing with my old band The Intercepteurs temporarily before I move on to a bluesy Anericana band Head Back Holler - more suitable for the more laid-back gentleman. Looking forward to the chat, trading, buying and selling and boring you all with the time I played through Graham Gouldman's bass rig. Deaver
11. Problems with my hearing started the rot but frozen shoulder has put a complete stop to gigging for the time being.
12. Peavey Nitrobass, weighs about 10 times more than the cab. Can hear the bass loud and clear on stage which is all that really bothers me.
13.
Anyone else think that the notation sounds a bit 'off'....I could be wrong though, I am half deaf...
You should probably try using the other ear then
14.
Happy days ahead, whatever you're doing. Have a good time
Cheers Paul, I've got about half a dozen tracks to record yet, then we'll see what happens. I'm torn between building a garden shed in the style of a 15th c timber-framed building or redeveloping the attic as a Sherlock Holmes type study.
15.
Supporting Dreadzone is a pretty good way to bow out though
Indeed, of the big boys we've played with they were the loveliest and quite probably the most bonkers
16. Last night was my farewell gig with The Intercepteurs (Salisbury Arts Centre supporting Dreadzone). No drama or bad feeling, I'm not going to have the time to commit to the gigs in the future that's all. Looking forward to the free weekends and clogging up the sales boards on here.
17. Bass Player had a transcription of it a few years back, if you're still in need drop me a PM
18. Still available. As far as I know no-one has contacted the band yet. My last gig is on Nov 7 so if you're available after then get in touch.
