Oooh, now I wouldn't mind playing at the Dorchester - how was parking? Whats the clause in your contract for food? I've been trying to get us included having food to the same standard as the guests but our percussionist "manager" reckons it will make us too expensive. Sounds like a fun gig though, have you got a link to your band's website? We had parking problems at the Landmark because most of the spaces were for residents only and there was an obvious over provision for them. I ended up parking around the back of the hotel on a single yellow line in Boston Place. At least the load in was easy.
West End parking is not usually a problem for us as we don't carry our own gear apart from instruments as our events company set up our backline for us. This means the band don't usually need to arrive till parking restrictions are lifted and a short walk is not an issue with very little gear to carry. We are linked to one agency with no dedicated band website at this time. The agency request hot food and drinks on our behalf and thats written into all contracts for us. Having played with a number of other function band I understand the issue with requesting food, although if your self contained and maybe you need to be at a venue lets say 4pm and maybe not leave till 8 or 9 hours later its not an unreasonable request. Some hotels really take tie p*** though. The Grove near Watford recently charged a client £75 per each member of the band and crew for supplying us with a basic hot meal and soft drinks.

CK... We're at the Landmark next Friday. Not sure of the event as yet. Did a celeb Charity/Fund Raising one at The Dorchester last night. Really easy enjoyable gig. As per usual good food laid on as per contract. 1st set 15 minutes followed by a couple of cabaret acts. Cast of We Will Rock You turned up straight from the show and did a 20 minute spot and we finished off. This was a re-booking so hopefully will get it again next year.

Hi All, I've had this one for about 3 months so possibly the one your thinking of. I understand from GB that at least 2 very similar spec left handers have been made in black with that pickguard and the maple board. I used it throughout most of my December gigs and sounded excellent but started using my SEi again beginning January so it's only come out the case in the last 6 weeks to have pictures taken. The main reason I'm looking for a sale so soon after purchase is that I've decided to order a new Bassix EUB asap, so something must go soon (should never have sold the NS). As per usual I'm open to reasonable offers.

OOPS... How do I delete this.

Lefty GB Spitfire in great condition. Comes with GB (Hiscox) case. I'm rarely using this at the moment so seeing if any interest. Very lightweight with top of the range GB electrics. Birdseye maple neck and f/board (Jazz type feel and fast). Not much more I can say about this apart from PM me with any questions and more pictures available upon request. Oh yes, the plant, pot and football are not included in the sale. Looking for £900.00.

Eden WT500b bass amp in excellent condition. This is my main gigging amp and all is fine with a great tone but I'm feeling like a change so just seeing if any interest in this. No marks and in perfect working order. Excellent on-board variable compressor. There is a little static on the master volumn but Edens are known for this and does not affect the tone at all. Comes with rack ears. total output is 750w at 2 ohms. Same spec as current 550 model on the Eden site. Looking for £550 plus £15 postage.

102 with my main band (all functions) plus about 10 deps. Thats enough for me as I have a day job as well.

I've voted for more than 2 hours. Although most of our gigs are within the greater London area which means on average its an hour each way for me, its a pro band so the date sheet can include the odd trip to Yorkshire or abroad a couple of times a year. I would struggle doing the long travel gigs if they were not such a nice group of people.

Hi All. Considering selling one of my Tech 4x10 Neo cabs, model ND 410 S. I currently have two of these. I use one for my band which lives in the PA/events truck, the other in my garage for deps. I'm thinking as a second cab it would be nice to have an alternative to my main gigging cab so may sell my garage cab. All specs are on the link below under Cabinets/10" but in short.... 4 ohms, 1200 watts, 53lbs, very good condition. No picture of actual item at the moment although will get round to it when I have time. Cash on collection from South London. No postage. £500 but no offers as I will need the cash to replace this with another quality neo cab, of which I'm not sure as yet. Saturday was a function at Portsmouth Guildhall. Usual 9 piece line up but as a band I felt we were not firing on all cylinders. Sunday a wedding in London, and pleased to say back on form.
I have one of these and it is brilliant. The Trace and Bassman settings are particularly good. The Bassman one even works great with guitar too. Someone buy it!
Thanks for this. Yes they are excellent combos. It's even suitable for upright bass. Problem is if I play in the house it tends to be acoustically so just never get to use it.
