1. Any interest ? I have a local trade offer I am entertaining if nobody wants to drop the cash.
2.
Hi, Is this an 80s model or a reissue? If it's an 80s could you post (or email me) some better pics including the headstock. I have a guitarist friend who is really into these and has one in red and is looking for a sunburst. Thanks. Frank.
Yes, this is an 80s model. Some photos can be seen here https://picasaweb.google.com/counterpointst...379455715997458 I can take more on Monday if he needs to any part in more detail. Cheers, Nathan
3. The Compressore has been sold. Any love out there for the Fulldrive ?
4. According to xe.com, that is £120 including postage to the UK, also should have mentioned there is some velcro on the bottom of the pedal, which can be removed if necessary.
5. Mint condition, includes velvet pouch thingy. Looking for €75, PayPal preferred.
6. According to the An Post website, it looks to be €22 postage to the UK (pedal + power supply weigh over a kilo)
7. SOLD http://www.adverts.ie/guitar-bass/tokai-as...tocaster/257590 been up here for a while £260 plus shipping to BC'rs
8. Some interest in Compressore already. PM's replied to, should have mentioned I am based in Ireland. Will post shipping price for this unit to the UK tomorrow.

11.
I'm just a bit surprised that elsewhere on the forum there is so much support for our fellow bass players, yet ads like these seem to get a bit of friction. Did I miss something? I think that the more support and useful responses we can put on these posts, then the greater likelihood that we will continue to get pro' acts looking for bass players. As a pro myself, if adverts are dropped on my doorstep instead of having to go look for them then it's a good thing no? So let's all be a bit more constructive eh? Bass players might get a bad name otherwise!
I agree, and I wish more opportunities were described in such detail. Other people thinking of advertising positions here should take note.
12.
TerryKs old cabs, sound great. Or was it just one of them?
I have 2 x hs210s and can't imagine life without them. Also curious as to what you are changing to... Anyone thinking about pulling the trigger on these; do it, you will not regret it.
13. My best result came from Neumann U47fet or some clone thereof (bass cab not as fussy as vocals so a decent clone will do) into a good compressor (Tubetech CL-1B/Urei LA2A for smooth, Purple MC76 or Urei 1176 for agressive) into a good preamp, into a good converter. Shure SM7 also good, as is EV RE20. I like to compress to disk/tape YMMV.
14. Would you be interested in an EH Bass Microsynth ?
15.
Is this the big one or the standard one?
This is the standard fella
16.
I have a bit more info now. She's importing free Karaoke MIDI files from a site and then hoping to change the usual crappy GM sounds for better patches. She says the software "wants" to look for VST files and her Roland patches are WAV. So, guys and gals, where does put us now?
What she needs is a WAV based VST Sampler plugin, which she can load into a channel in Samplitude, and then load the WAV sample(s) into that. A quick google search ( free WAV based sampler VST ) throws up this: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/196.html
17. Added photos. As can be seen, there are some small scratches on the paint, but it is in generally good nick. There is velcro on the bottom for attaching to pedal-boards.
18.
But is that "original" original or "reissue" original? The former will have a slider labelled "Square Wave", and the latter a slider labelled "Distortion".
It is the original, this fader is labelled 'square wave'.
19.
I have one so not after it but worth clarifying if it's the older one or the newer XO series one.
Ah, I didn't realise there was a new model. This is the original. Will post photos tomorrow.
20. Selling my EHX Micro Synth. Comes with original box, manual, and power-supply. Looking for £150 + shipping. PayPal ok. Cheers, Nathan
21. Selling my Gramma Pad and the gig carry bag. Looking for £50 + shipping, don't want to split items. Thanks, Nathan
22.
I think it is much more akin to doing the cooking from this point of view, as in, the context of being a musician/bass player. I could be cooking generic burgers in a chain pub from prepacked ingredients, knowing that people all over the country are enjoying very similar burgers, but I'd expect to be paid for that, because otherwise it wouldn't be worth my time. I'd much rather be cooking something for a few friends who I know will really appreciate it, and I won't charge them for it, and even pay for the ingredients from my own pocket. And if I know them well, it is very likely I will challenge them to try things they haven't tried before, because that's what makes life interesting.
I like this analogy
