Now sold! DHA VT1-EQ Bass Drive This pedal, I believe, was the first EQ Bass Drive sold. Could be collectable as well as an excellent pedal. The Pedal is in great condition and will be supplied with a new power supply. I have been using the unit with a Mullard ECC81 pre-amp valve which lessens the gain but really smoothes things out and adds some tremendous valve fattness to your tone. Also included will be the original valve. I used the unit as a pre-amp, running it into the FX return on my LM11 which was awesome, but you can also use it as an overdrive pedal to add more grit and drive and just run it straight into the front end of your amp, for some great results. I have just bought an all valve head, so this is now surplus to requirements. Cheers..... Mario.

Fender Precision 2005. Butterscotch Blonde (discontinued colour), Rosewood Fretboard, S1 Switching. The bass is in excellent condition and has had a recent pro set up. Plays beautifully and sounds exactly how a P bass should. The bass comes with the original Fender case, also in great condition. Will post the bass if necessary (at buyers expense), but collection would be preferred. Sold pending the usual!

Hi There, Just managed to secure myself a used VT1-EQ Bass driver from this site. Haven't got my hands on it yet, but in anticipation, was wondering what is the best way to use it? I will be running it through my LM II. My thinking is to run it into the FX return and miss out the LM II pre-amp altogether. I'm not looking to overdrive my sound to any real degree, just looking to fatten it up and get some valve warmth. I've already ordered a Mullard ECC81 to replace the standard ECC83 as I know this will reduce the gain and hopefully make things even smoother and warmer. Am I heading in the right direction? Any other Suggestions? Cheers, Mario.

Would also be interested in your veiws on the Tech 21 VT Bass pedal. Especially if you,re using one with a Mark Bass LM II. Cheers!!

Hi there, I'm wanting to get some valve warmth into my sound and have heard good reports about the DHA VT1-EQ bass drive. I am using a LM II to gig with and was wondering if anyone out there was using this amp and pedal. I am not really looking to overdrive my sound too much, mainly wanting some valve warmth and fatness. I know the LM II sounds great as is, will this pedal improve it further? If someone has one for sale, please let me know. Your views appreciated, Mario.

Well Guys, thanks for all your comments! I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful Fireglo 4003, which I bought from Geddy's Nose (cheers Simon). I'm very happy to say that it sounds incredible through my LM11 and 2x Loud Inc 2x10 cabs.

Bought a fantastic Ric 4003 from him. Great bass, great price, great bloke! Cheers Simon and all the best! Mario.

Hi there, I've got bad GAS for a Rick 4003 and wondered if anyone out there uses one with a Mark Bass amp? (couldn't go back to lugging a big rig around) I love my LM11, it sounds great with my Jazz and P. Does a Rick sound good through them? Cheers, Mario.

Check out this website for Haydn Williams. He's the senior luthier at Overwater Basses, so really knows what he's doing. He will build you anything your heart desires under his own banner, and very affordable! www.williamsguitars.fsnet.co.uk

Do Wizard pickups have the tonal quality that BK's do? I have had no experience of them so would be buying blind. I have BK Mississipi Queens in a SG and I love them. They have such a rich musical quality, with no harshness what so ever. I know the BK's are more expensive than the Wizards, but just because something is more expensive it doesn't necessarily mean it's better. Anyone got any Wizards in a Jazz?
-
Cheers for that, how would you describe the Wizards?
