1. I settled on a set of Steve Harris flats in the end. http://www.rotosound...-signature-set/ They were not my first choice and when I first installed them I thought I had made a BIG mistake. They were very stiff and sounded 'wrong'... BUT after 3 months and some neck and pickup adjustments they sound HUGE. The tension is high and you need good finger strength to play them at speed. I use a pick and play in a folk / acoustic group with a Tic Tac sound that cuts through the acoustic guitars and vocals.
2. D'ADDARIO chrome strings cut for Fender P or Jazz. 40 - 100, one month old, nicely run in. £10 UK posted.
3.
I'd be snapping this up from the marketplace http://basschat.co.uk/topic/285576-fs-gallien-krueger-mb200-l155-posted/ It'll do the job just fine without drums and would have a fair chance even with drums.
+1 great amp.
4. Fubar bought my Eden cab from me. Came around with his amp and bass for a test. He was a real gent and can recommend him as a buyer.
Dunlop 1mm for me - Textured at the "fat" end which makes them easy to grip. Just flexible enough to makes rapid up/down strokes even but tough enough to get a nice crisp attack. And they're black, which is the most Rock and Roll colour, right?
I use the same.
7. You could try a Planet Waves CT04. It has a really easy to read display and is true bypass.
8. I have no packaging at this time. If and when I find some I will offer postage. Sorry for this inconvenience but I want to make sure they are well packed and no damage will occur.
9. I use these...... http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/homebase-performance-4in-gloss-sleeve---2-pack-833438 Strip the foam off the inner case and you have the perfect size to fit under the strings by the bridge.
10.
These are great little cabs
It is. Perfect for small gigs and rehearsals. Being 4 ohms it will give full output from your amp as well.
11. Pics.... As you can see its in great condition and I've only used it at home and rehearsals at my singers house.
