1. well those pedaldecks are looking good, I'd buy one if I was in the UK... but yeah, they kinda got beaten to it by the whole new pedaltrain line...

Eq pedal
Would you put the eq pedal before or after the swollen pickle? I've seen a few behringer eq pedals for dirt cheap. They worth trying?
after. and I'd really avoid the Behringer stuff

Eq pedal

yes but I would do the opposite. EQ your amp to whatever clean tone you like, and use an EQ pedal to "fix" the Swollen Pickle. If you want to go cheap, Boss GEB-7 and Mooer Graphic B are great choices, as they allow you to control bass and low mids freqs.
7. Iron Ether Oxide if you can find one. Or a Malekko Diabolik. edit: there's an Oxide in the Marketplace right now...
8. I have both, and active and passive basses. I a/b'ed both pedals with both basses and couldn't tell a difference. The "passive" one has the switch on the inside as toneknob says, which changes the sweep response, which I found very useful, so I would recommend that one instead of the "active".
9. I'm with inthedoghouse here. Analogman with deep mode!
10. I found the swllen pickle very difficult to use. There are internals controls (yes, you have to open the pedal) which are necessary to tweak for it to sound great on bass. On top of that, I always found very hard to "find back" a tones liked using only the outside controls, because they all affect each others a lot. Of course you might be much more persevering than me, but I like pedals which are easy to dial in.
11. if you just want a true-bypass looper, look at the Bright Onion stuff, he's a great guy and in the UK
12. hey sorry for the late reply! yes, it's a tone shaper, that I am using to tweak the output of the Diabolik. it's more or less based on the output filter section of the micro fuzz, with a sub switch add even more lows, and a mid switch to reduce the mid-scoop. it's really great. However I kinda changed how I am voicing the Diabolik. It only has 3 knobs, but it's a rather tricky pedal to work with. But right now I don't feel to toneshape it as I found some great settings in a band mix. So I don't really use the Stage 4 for this purpose anymore. However it's absolutely awesome to engage when switching from aggressive mid-range pick play to dubby heavily low finger style.
13.
that is very cool... got a video demo?
nope, don't have a video camera, sorry... only crappy iphone recordings!
14. I hope I am posting this the right way. Please let me know if this is not the case. Prices include shipping from Switzerland to the UK! The LED never worked properly because of a contact problem in the IN jack - it works depending how the jack is inserted. Probably an easy fix. Never bothered me so I never did anything to fix it. I still have the apology mail from analog mike somewhere about it. 150£ incl. shipping Catalinbread Heliotrope Like new!
