1.
Just ignore him, he's an idiot.
Not one of your best moments mate
 2.
Seldom. And if I do I wouldn't expect to be taken seriously. I know nothing about politics so I know my place...I'm not arrogant.
I am starting think you may lack confidence as a musician. Don't take this the wrong way and get upset now! But how do you communicate with and feed off other musicians if you don't feel you are able to because you think you know enough about what they do?
 3.

It is good you have not made any comments about this video.
 4.
Seldom. And if I do I wouldn't expect to be taken seriously. I know nothing about politics so I know my place...I'm not arrogant.
Thank you. Do you vote in your elections though?
 5.

Inti, do you ever criticise the Swedish government?
 6.
We're stuck on 299 - would be great to get some more like to push us over the 300 mark!!
I just did that for you
 7.
One man's Irn Bru is another mans Coca Cola. One man's beautiful sonata is another mans ear bleeding racket. It's all getting very Ground Hog day isn't it. Personally i think Mark King is Better than Flea, so Tim.
Of course If it moves you that's all that matters.
 8.
I've just looked at this from posting last night, 3 pages, cool, I thought, some other nice examples of expression will be within these 3 pages......how wrong I was.
That's the way goes sometimes mate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkgN9OjMXgw
 9.
So ....
Superb post mate, really.
 10.
My future is now and it's not a matter of luck but sure.
Our careers as musicians are mostly based on luck. There is an enormous number of highly accomplished instrumentalists in the world, but getting employment, or a worthwhile recording contract is mostly luck. Even with a pedigree it is hard to find work for the majority of musicians, especially in your virtuosic field. I'm afraid musical ability is the basic requirement for the gig, you also have to add all the other ingredients to be chosen over all the other superb musicians who are up against you.
 11.
Sure, whatever makes you feel good.
Thanks. I wish you the best of luck with your future.
 12.
And don't fear the Clowns...
13.
Totally agreed, thank you. At last someone with brains thats doesnt need to rely on the "arrogance" or "troll" card to defend their insecurities and lack of understanding. Shame on the rest of you.
OK mate, time for some honesty. You feel people misunderstand what you mean by art and entertainment, and you also don't understand what arrogance means. 1. Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance. 2. Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others. From your posts and your PMs to me, there is no question that you are arrogant. And you are in a very precarious position. A professional classical concert pianist with the same attitude as you would rip you to pieces in this game you are playing. But music is not a game. And the vast majority of professional highly skilled musicians draw their inspiration from many sources. Music as an art is a communication tool for your humanity. You need to fill your humanity with positive energy, you seem full of negative energy and bitterness that the majority of people can not understand the complexity of your music. However, When I listen to your music and then listen to Sir John Tavener, or Arvo Part, or Elgar, your music seems very simple. You are a very talented musician, but I can no longer enjoy what you do.
 14.
Clowns entertain me. Pole dancers entertain some. Even magicians are supposed to entertain people. Coltrane impresses me. You need to learn the real meaning of words...entertainment is shallow and fugitive, to me entertainment has to do with having fun. It has to do with putting up a show. It's doesn't amaze for what it is, it wants to amaze because its interested in something the audience has to give. Entertainment doesn't give love freely, it's conditional. Am I really that wrong?
Despite your aggressive and uncompromising defence of your point of view, I can understand your train of thought and where it originates from. I think you believe that people who reach very high levels of craft in their chosen artistic field are unappreciated by the majority of people and this greatly disappoints you. You feel that highly skilled musicians transcend mere 'entertainment' and progress to 'art'. Maybe you feel that lesser skilled musicians resort to, or are only capable of, 'entertainment'. You perhaps feel that the lines between art and entertainment are blurred and that people are unable to decide for themselves what is art and what is design, very disappointing that people are so uneducated and unable to appreciate it. However, although some chart music could be considered to be crafted for entertainment purposes, many successful pop and rock bands really do FEEL their music and communicate through it, it is 'art'. Music serves many purposes, and all skill levels can create music that is art, and likewise entertainment. Playing your instrument to a very high level of skill does not necessarily mean that the player is able to create art, that comes from the human being behind the instrument. The skills and the equipment are simply the tools.
 15.
Too many really , but two....................? Ok, two that won't have been mentioned but contain some really tasty playing of the fretless persuasion "Grace and Danger" John Martyn and "Welcome To The Cruise" Judie Tzuke Of course around the same time I was absorbing Level 42 (first), Little Feat etc...but that's two I took a lot from via John Giblin, and the ever tasteful Mo Foster.
Ooh a fellow Judie Tzuke fan.
 16.
Amazing
It is. But why is it?
 17.
Will anyone actually check these out tho? Or will it just be a list of facebook pages?!
I went through the lot tonight, liked all of them and listened to most that had music. Some very good music on there.
 18.
Good idea! here's my rock band Skinny Machines - https://www.facebook.../skinnymachines
This is great stuff man! Lovely production, totally professional sounding band with class and personality. You also have bass tone to die for. Particularly like Wake Up Call.
 19. Kit Richardson https://www.facebook...onmusic?fref=ts Some more likes would be lovely I'm going to have a look at all the previous posts and have a listen and like.
 20.
The 'Bass Doc' of this parish may be able to help you out. I would send him a pm and see what he says.
21. New Kit Richardson single and video from our new EP which is coming out in late April (launch gig at Bush Hall in London if you're interested, details to follow). I'm afraid I'd forgotten about this thread so I'd posted it elsewhere last month. Kit shot it all with a GoPro and it features fans, friends and the band. It was good fun to make. Hope you like it
 22.
Have you seen the near identicle warwick thread?
how did I know that was going to happen I haven't, have you a link?
 23.
Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it... i'm just really disappointed. They were my fav bass company, but now they're failing me...
I had a lovely Warwick, sold it, and bought and sold loads of basses in the space of a couple of years. I ended up going back to Warwick, they are brilliant in every way, and pretty much every bass feels the same, the QC and support is remarkable, something sadly lacking in so many manufacturers.
 24. Yes, I've had a few like this, it's bloody annoying, my time is valuable and I do not like people wasting it. But every actual transaction I've had on BC has been excellent.
 25.
It looks like this was taken with a fish eye lense
That is bizarre, I don't believe I have ever seen anything like it before. Awful support from EBMM too. Good luck with getting a replacement.
