  4. Marek is a good dude. Very easy to make a deal with and replys to emails fast.
  5. Hey. Any interest in trade for an efe muff? It's the #7 type one. http://www.stompboxes.co.uk/DP-01.html
  6. Have heard a lot of bad things about modern ampegs. I'd Get a vintage one rather than the reissue.
  7. I'd try one other new orange that just came out the ob1 300/500 they seem like theyre meant to have a nice tube tone and dont have many knobs. not tiny or light compared to class D stuff but they are compared to an svt
  8. Love the punch and tightness of sealed cabs. But I couldnt do without the lows and clarity of the barefaced now. With the egc bass it's just perfection. I have a weird ampeg 8x8 cab that does the tone I like when I want mids and punch. Thing sounds better than the ampeg 8x10 I also had. Really excited about the verellen.
  9. awesome. I have been gassing for the retro six10 for a while from the but hard to tell what it will sound like for the website. from what you say im nearly sold. What's the wait time at the moment? Signed up earlier. Thanks
  10. Beautiful! Could You know tell me the width of that cab?
  11. It's this model. I'm not in the news letter. If I add myself now can I get the info?
  12. I like how full and deep the bareface 2x15 sounds compared to a sealed cab where the lows are rolled off.
  13. yeah. was too far away from me and with shipping and paypal fees for paying not much cheaper than getting one brand new. also been looking at tecamp 4x10 cabs. they say useable down to 30 something HZ..... anyone tried one?
  14. Thinking about getting a new cab. Have a barefaced 2x15 that I love the sound of and fits my matamp gt200 mk1 on top pretty good. But I have a bigger valves amp on the way that I want to use and I would like a cab big enough to sit it on top of. New amp is a verellen which are 64cm wide. Retro six10 is 62cm so that would fit ok Dually is the same width. So ok again. What other options are there in light weight, good sounding, well designed cabs that will do real lows? Will the retro six10 do lows like the 2x15 of there's i have. Will be keeping the 2x15 still. So maybe the retro cab sounding different would give me more options... Any thoughts?
  15. Dave reeves who designed and started hiwatt was contracted to design amps for sound City. As far as I know he designed the mark 1 and 2 sound city's and left before or during Mark 3. Mark 1-3 are a similar circuit with revisions and are very close to a hiwatt. Then the mark 4 amps that came after are totally different. These have partridge transformers and a nice build quality (but not hiwatt neat). They often get criticised as being cheap builds but they're as good as most vintage builds I've seen like laney, Marshall, Carlsbro, Simms watts, matamp....:it's just hiwatt is next level neat and are perfect. Can find more info here http://soundcitysite.com There's a history section
  16. Looks awesome. What are the pickups like in the modern ones?
