Transits are the most stolen and insecure vehicles in the World, i certainly wouldn't leave all that gear in one. Shame but i think the van was stolen and the thieves eyes lit up when they saw the contents.

I think that most players practice.....but the correct practice does not come naturally to everyone, therefore rudimentary videos such as this as very useful.

I definitely think you should try Hawkwind's Silver Machine.....in fact over the years Hawkwind have probably played it live on Piano, Cello and Bass too lol ☺

My question is this: Should a more professional player who in essence doesn't need a music stand still carry a music stand with him or her, because they are more professional and it would be unprofessional to need one on occasion and not to have one?

Should there be tick boxes on the flyers for the gig? 1. Music stands will be in use at this gig 2. Music stands will not be in use at this gig It's only fair after all to let the punters know in advance to avoid them having to walk out in a huff.....

I'm just worried that the 'Using music stands in a covers band' thread Pro's will see this.....

Do you think Katie Hopkins or Michael Gove would see this thread as a social experiment?

So in this discussion, am i right in saying that we've ascertained that some use music stands and some don't? It would also seem that a majority of those that don't believe that those who do shouldn't. The don'ters appear to categorise the do'ers as maybe less capable than the don'ters. However the do'ers are questioning the don'ters on their right to see them in a lesser category than the don'ters. Would that be a fair appraisal of this debate so far? It certainly makes for very interesting reading. 😎
