Thanks The piezos add a warmth to the Rays tone that I really like. When mixing both its like a Ray, but more tame. Has that Ray growl, but with a rounder bottom end, and smoother overall tone. A cool thing about the Ray with piezos is that on the back of the bass theres an extra (very small) control plate. Under that plate you`ll find trim pots for each strings piezo. In the event that you needed more or less of any given string, you can adjust that. Theres also an overall level trim pot for the piezos as a whole. You can adjust how much you do or dont want from the piezos. So all in all, Id say the piezos are a nifty addition to the Ray. Gives it a whole new dimension to its sound.
