1. Selling my CB bass I acquired through a trade some 7 months ago through talkbass. Specs copied from original listing 35" scale, 19mm bridge. Alder body with Yellowheart top and headstock veneer. Flame maple & Wenge neck with set neck construction. Rosewood Board. Oil finish. Nordy DC pups with a Nordy 3b "kitchen sink" setup (vol, blend, treb, mids, bass, 2 pickup switches, 2 push pull pots). All Hipshot hardware, aluminum bridge. Rosewood and Mahogany pup covers. Refreted with 51108 fretwire and PLEK'd by Mike Lull. Comes with hardcase. About 4 kilos/9 pounds. Bass is in excellent condition. Cosmetically 9.5/10 , functionally 10/10. Tuning keys, bridge, truss rod all working perfectly Especially the truss-rod is perhaps the smoothest I have ever tried. Neck is very comfortable and smooth. Sale value 1250 pounds with shipping to eu/uk included (around 3-5 days) This is less than the bass cost me. Trade value 1600 pounds. I'm located at eu Athens Greece, and have previously completed a few transactions with people from all over Europe through basschat with absolutely no problems, both as a buyer and seller. If you search you can easily find the listing, and for those with talkbass accounts you can find my feedback here https://www.talkbass.com/members/muse.55500/. Unfortunately I never opened(or someone else had to?) a feedback thread in basschat, so for those who don't know me, I have no feedback in basschat:)
2. Not as far as I now, I'm not the original owner. But it plays beautifully.
3. Hello, selling my Prat bass in almost mint condition apart from a small bump on top of the body, and a small chip(glued back) on top of the headstock. Both not my fault and also hardly noticeable or annoying(at least for me). They can be seen in the pictures. Specs: 34" scale 22 frets nordstrand hum canceling j pickups noll 4 band preamp , volume/passive tone - blend - high/low mids - bass/treble stack - pull treble for passive ash body ash neck wenge fretboard with pau ferro layer beneath narra book matched top and headstock hipshot ultralight tuners and hipshot a bridge Very nice playing instrument, fully functional(truss rod / electronics) with a very punchy sound(especially in upper lows/low mids). 1100 pounds shipped to eu with a generic hardcase, and of course bulletproof(ly) packed. I should also state that I am located at EU Athens Greece. Please excuse the somewhat overly cozy pics.
4. Sold to that guy:) @sterling76 Thanks man for your kind words, I don't have a feedback thread despite many transactions, perhaps I should reconsider.
5. Just finished a transaction with Zbynek. Easy communication, we struck a deal, he payed promptly. What else can you ask for? As a bonus he's a really nice guy too:) I would also not hesitate a moment buying from Zbynek Highly recommended.
6. Mint ceramic loaded stingray manufactured in 2006. Everything is in perfect working condition. Serial number is E51653(not discernible in the photo) Sounds and plays awesome. Weighs a very nice(for a stingray 5 that is) 4.6 kg. Comes with its original hardcase. Since right now this is my main bass, and in a few days it will also be my only one,it might be unavailable temporarily until I sort out a replacement. 1150 pounds, shipped to eu and the uk. Photos https://photos.app.g...tK38Ko3BVbHoKd2 edit : forgot to say I'm located in eu Athens Greece, and can accept wire transfer, and paypal.
7. Hi, actually it is. Only to be honest a little bit more hesitant from my part.. I have started bonding with it:) To clarify, the yamaha was a little picky at the beginning to adapt to. After trying several sets of string and setups, I managed to start understanding the bass and what I can/should do with it. I like it so much now, that I was thinking perhaps withdrawing it and listing the ray. Oh well... After all my goal is the purchase of a custom bass. If you are interested, send me a pm. cheers
8. Thanks for your kind words guys, yes she is a beauty indeed. I should also point out that I'm located at eu Athens Greece. @kumimajawa I hear no rosewood,I see no rosewood, I speak of no rosewood (damn that's self defeating) so I find no reason of not exporting something that obviously has no rosewood....
9. For sale this old school yamaha I recently got in a trade. Made in Japan in 1993, immaculate condition for it's age.(apart from a couple of hairline scratches visible in one of the photos on the back that are only seen in reflections) Amazing construction (the bass feels very nice and sturdy in your hands) and superb playability. Usual specs 33"7/8 scale 18-19mm spacing at bridge not actually sure, tends to feel more towards 19 I think ebony fingerboard piezo bridge with blend for magnetic pickups alnico j and p pickups volume, blend of magnetic pickups, bass, treble, blend magnetic/piezo slap switch. 4.6 kg Very nice bass for recording which I tried and say from personal experience. Reason for selling is because I still prefer my ceramic loaded stingray 5 for my tonal needs. Everything works as it should (truss rod, bridge, keys, pickups, pre amp) and very low action is possible. Paypal and bank transfer available. Will come properly packaged with a semi hard case, or a yamaha hard case. (not the original one). 1050 pounds/1150 euros shipped to uk and eu. 10. Very nice bass! What's the scale, 34" or 35"? And what kind of pickups does it have?
11. Well others have said it before and probably better than me. Steve da man:)
12. Bump for a very nice GMR. Whoever may be interested can ask for sound samples, and I'll record something.
13. Hi , I'm selling my GMR Soundboard 5, it is in great condition apart from a few superficial dings on the back side viewed mainly through reflections, and a small chip next to the back strap button, that is also hardly noticeable and non intrusive. Cosmetically I'd rate it a good 9/10 and functionally the bass is perfect. 34" scale 19mm string spacing at bridge 49mm nut width radius something like 16-18"(?) body I'm not sure(perhaps alder under some kind of artsy finishing beneath the clear coating) quilted maple top pau ferro fretboard noll 4 band eq, with active/passive, and passive tone bartolini js(probably hum canceling as there's no hiss) weight 4.1 kg Frets are excellent, truss-rod works stellar, it's very playable, with great tone quality and versatility(bridge pickup really sings) and very low action possible. Reason I'm thinking of trading/selling is because I mainly play a stingray 5 these days and prefer the string spacing and sound. So you would know, I bought the bass last summer from bass direct as passive for 850 pounds at the exact same condition as it is today based on a short video demonstrating its passive sound. I immediately modded it with the noll pre(I always like my basses active) and it was my main bass for six months. I also have the metal truss rod cover that's not showing in the pictures. Trade value for me 950, closer to what it cost me. Interested in musicman 5 string basses. Cash can be adjusted both ways. But from cheaper basses I would only consider sire 5 strings. Blemishes picture http://imgur.com/a/jM0uI Will post properly padded in a semi-hard case that came with, and this inside a card box. Done this multiple times with success. Thanks for looking. Edit: Now that I checked there's no history under my account name, (perhaps because I was paying per ad), so I should mention that I've successfully sold the last 4 years through basschat a vigier passion IV, a roscoe century standard 5, a clover avenger 5, and even traded a fender deluxe dimension with a member of the forum from the uk.
14.
The spacing is more like a Stingray than the usual Fender, I think it's about 17.5mm rather than the usual fender which I think is 19my. Really nice bass, can't believe it's going for that price.
Actually the spacing is exactly 19mm. Much roomier than a stingray. The neck is so comfortable because it has an asymmetric profile.
15. Best guy to deal with (with an insignificant medical condition of never being really satisfied with fine basses ) and a real steal of a bass guitar at that price! The neck on these, is for me the most comfortable one fender has ever produced.
