Also one take. Played through my phil jones double four on battery(hence some clipping) and recorded through my phone. Eq completely flat. Price can't get any lower as it is already too low for me to justify selling, so please no lowball offers.

Thanks for the interest. Finish is satin, cosmetic status is ok(to me seems perfect), only thing that can be seen from a meter away is the wear spot. It has been played, but it also has been really taken care for, so hardware works flawlessly.Very smooth tuners and bridge, only the volume pot was replaced at some time A few small dings here and there that can only be seen through reflections(satin has very few reflections). I will replace the photos later, because these are really awful..(from smartphone). I will ship with elta which is the Greek national post service(or was). In my experience it is the fastest and most secure postal service compared to dhl,ups, fed ex for international shipments. To UK it takes maximum 5 working days, I assume the same to Germany. The neck will be detached(that's how I got it), and will be properly packaged in a big box. The truss rod works flawlessly both directions, with not much force, and the changes are noticeable immediately. Final price 1050 euros shipped, and I really haven't seen a stock bossa 5 go for so low. I have made a few successful transactions through basschat, but never opened a feedback thread. Actually I got this from talkbass as a ujb 5. As far as I can tell from pictures it is a ujb body with a 24 fret neck. The ob has a different/smaller body. Just check the upper horn, in the ujb it extends up to the 12th fret, on the ob it does not. Anyway, ujb or ob, this is an amazing instrument at a much lower price than what it cost me:) , but everything sells cheaper(if at all) these days.

Price reduction to 1100 pounds. Very rare Bossa ujb-5 in great condition. Swamp ash body, 3 piece maple neck/ebony fingerboard, gotoh hardware, famous 18v bossa preamp with bass/mid/treble and the proprietary bossa dual coil/single coil switch. It weighs just under 4 kg. Everything works as it should, truss rod very smooth and responsive, tuning keys are smooth, frets with very little noticeable wear, bridge perfect apart from some slight discoloration at the edges. It has a wear spot between the pickups under the b string. The bass feels, plays and sounds like a very high quality instrument that it is. I 'm based in EU Athens Greece, and shipping to UK and EU is included in the price. It takes up to 5 working days. The bass will be properly and safely packaged. Hi all, Pete got this bass from me.,been my main bass for over a year and I didn't believe it at first when he told me it's 35" scale. It plays effortlessly, tuning stability is marvelous, it has the best b string I've heard and played and it truly is a unique work of art, since Marco(mpu) as I've been told builds only instruments which he chooses. Whoever gets this is going to get a pretty special instrument. It also has a trussrod! (I'm against instruments without one). A bonus point for me is that fiddling with the eq you can easily get into stingray territory, and I don't mean trying to immitate it like many others, it can do it exceptionally well with its own flavor. GLWTS:)

I don't think that's the case, a photographer often takes multiple shots from the same angle so as to have greater chances of having few good ones and eliminating errors(color balance, focus, exposure). You could say that he uploaded many similar photos. Anyway, very nice bass, I always wanted to try a s&s bass, I hope this is as good as it looks, and ends up with someone that enjoys it. GLWTS

I think it was a very good deal already at the price I had it. But I'll make it even more of a bargain, 1150 pounds from now on with shipping to eu/uk included. I can also record some soundclips if someone is really interested.

Edit : I think I should note the reason I'm selling. In my DIY studio that we practise, I have major problems with bass modes. It's over 15 db at 250hz, and this bass works worst than my other one in the band settings. I try to compensate with extreme eq settings through a boss gt100. I think I need a 4 string instrument with a little more contained dynamic range. Like a p bass or a pj. My other bass right now at 18mm is not as comfortable as the bordwell turned out to be for me. I need something with 4 strings and 19-20mm string spacing.

Well, after being hesitant since I posted the ad(the reason for no bumps), I can say now I love that bass even more, but I've also decided that I do need something different. Bump for a beautiful sounding instrument, with excellent playability(I now prefer it more than my main bass), really top notch construction, and almost in mint condition, apart from one knob being slightly bent(visible only when rotating it) and the plastic black rings removed from the knobs(I highly prefer the look and feel this way). I am open to trade offers, mainly 4 string basses of comparable quality and nice sound. I really dislike obvious dead spots. (by the way this bass has none as far as I can tell that would bother me).
