1.
3 mins in my favorite Geddy Lick and my favorite tone. Pretty much at this stage the best band in the world IMO. http://youtu.be/YpCASVFyQoE
Yep have to agree, different class. Changed the way I viewed music and musicians.
2. Hi, I started playing bass in May last year, I'm 48. Now playing along to lots of rock classics from my younger days. Practice, practice, practice.
3. For me either Moving Pictures or Hemispheres.
4. http://www.promenademusic.co.uk/gandl-tribute-jb2-natural Anyone after a G&L?
5.
No. Just go to check out the best selection of bass gear in the UK.
I drool every time I visit the website.
6. Wow some differing opinions here. No real need for me to go now as I picked up an Overwater aspiration elite yesterday but might still go just to meet the guy.
7. Never heard a bad word said about them, great price too.
8. I have one of those too, really nice.
9. I change the necks on my Fenders quite often, never had a problem. Like Thunderbird said, just make sure they are the same width, thickness etc.

New Bass!

Lovely looking guitar.
11. Thanks for the replies, I look forward to next weekend.
12. Whilst trying to get into a band, I like to play along to songs I like, or quite often the cartoon themes that the little one is watching, lol.
13.
Definitely worth a visit. But.. ^^^ That! But he is a friendly guy.
Intriguing.
14. I visit the website frequently, always have some lovely basses in there. Might be an expensive trip.
15. Have a conference in Birmingham next weekend and going to have a look in Bass Direct. Just wondered if people have been in and how they found them to talk to?
16. For sale is my Tokai LP. Lovely guitar and would give any Gibson a run for it's money. No longer playing guitar and I have my eye on a Sandberg so this has to go. Best playing guitar I've owned, great sound, pups are Tokai MKII. Some buckle rash on rear and the odd scratch and ding, one noticible scratch which is pictured. With hard case, shipping would be £30.00 insured, parcelforce 48.
17. For sale is a Cort B4. Swamp Ash body, Bartolini Mk1 pups and EQ. Bass is in good condition apart from a cut, gouge in the bottom of the body. No case or bag, will be boxed to ship. Imagine shipping around £15.00 with parcelforce 48
18. How and where would I be able to do this please? Used forums before and always best place to buy/sell gear.
19.
It's 7£ for an ad, or 20£ a year for as many ads as you like. Nobody is forced to sell on BC. However, if one does, one is not allowed to do it here, without paying for the service. Simple rules, I should imagine, so evil, suspicious minds (not me) might think you cheekily are trying to sell whilst dodging the fees... My take: why not simply support this lovely place, and sell with a clear conscience?
20. It was going on ebay later as I'm not sure about selling rules on here. Where abouts are you? Think the a4 is a neckthrough and fair bit heavier, but very nice by all accounts.
21. i use a mixture of tabs, youtube, and just playing along with it over and over.
22. I learnt the minor pentatonic and the major modes, you can improvise over just about anything.
