Thanks for the nice comments. Over the years I have used all sorts of equipment in different situations ranging from Marshall, Ampeg, Acoustic, Fender, Hartke, TC Eectronic, Gallien Kruger etc etc, and it’s always been good to come back to my Trace Elliot, it has stood up really well to just about anything else out there.

Lovely Trace Elliot 250 SMX for sale - NOW SOLD please close topic I am the original owner, I bought this classic amp from The Bass Centre on Wapping in the late 1980s. It has got the fantastic 12 band grophic with a couple of presets plus the dual band compressor which will give you just about any sound that you could ever want. Seriously powerful amp, but flexible enough to use in any situation, I certainly did for many years! This is a very well made amp, and everything works perfectly in a very solid but manageable 15Kg package. I’m hardly gigging nowadays and only need a small amp set up. This superb amp needs to be used and enjoyed for many years to come. Thanks for looking.

For sale, fantastic rig comprising of HA 5000, 250 watts per side bi-amp or 500watts mono, which is how I used it most of the time. Have used it in bi-amp mode with two smallish cabinets, really huge sound. Not gigging much anymore so must part with this set up. Powerful and hugely versatile set up. Amp is blendable solid state and valve pre- amp, graphic equaliser, compression and separate bass and treble tone controls Cab is rated at 1000watts and comes on castors for relatively easy moving around, also Roqsolid cover. The 3 way attenuater switch really helps to get the most out of those speakers, everything from old school thump to modern hi-if! Both are in immaculate condition, although the rack bag for the amp is a bit scuffed on the corners. Prefer to sell together as they make for a truly great rig, but would consider splitting. Hia Could be interested in a set of these. I have a Warwick Streamer and there is a slight problem with strings where I need a tapered end for the B string in particular due to the narrow string thingy on the bridge, and these La Bellas could well fit the bill. I have been using the Warwick EMP coated strings which are really good, but have been looking for a slightly lighter gauge, come thing a bit more bendy perhaps. What do you think? Also, whereabouts are you, I am inHertfordshire. Cheers Marcus
