IMO in the same way as a pair of Nikes made bespoke and collectible because some rapper has added his name to the design or some famous arty type has made them spectacular garish the actual end product won’t be any better quality than the mass produced item. It’s the extra time and cost involved in the limited run that you are paying for. FWIW my thoughts on the original vintage instruments that a lot of the CS shop stuff replicate is some instruments for whatever quirk of fate just play and sound better than others made in the same batch. If an instrument has survived 40 or 50 years it’s likely to be one of the good ones that somebody has loved and cared for. The ones that didn’t get loved for whatever reason have been broken up, burned whatever.
Spending 100 hours replicating the 1 in 100 or whatever won’t necessarily make it play or sound the same. It will probably look pretty cool though.
