1. You should be able to find out what the body is by getting in touch with Spector and giving them the serial number. Pictures would help.
2. Bump for a good case.
3. Bump. All sensible offers considered!
4. Bought an Orange from Dunc, speedy friendly communication, lightning postage and good packaging. All in all excellent!
5. I have bought new from Warwick back in the early 00s before prices went insane. I have also bought secondhand stuff off here. Getting information on any parts from customer services is next to impossible. E.g. Even though they own MEC they can give you zero specs on the pickups. If you look at getting spares from them, the only information they can tell you is that yes, it's a pickup. Compared to the detailed spec sheets from Bartolini and EMG and Glockenlang for pickups and preamps, you are lucky to get a circuit diagram - it is a complete joke. The Korean Jack Bruce I have points to the German diagram, and when you ask "do you have any specs on your parts because my pickup seems dodgy?" you get the reply "no". They make the basses and pickups, and their factory looks impressive on the videos, so they must surely know what's in the basses??? It's ridiculous. It's a real shame because I love my Warwicks (and Spectors, let's not open that can of worms). It's just so disappointing.
6. Bump. Sorry I can't post this but I have no boxes or cardboard or anything like that. I suppose I could wrap in black bags and post as is, perhaps. If I must!
7. Bump. Sorry I can't post this but it weighs a tonne. Tell all your friends!

Can meet on J5 of M5 or somewhere between Droitwich and Coventry (I work in Coventry). All of this has had very very little use after the band I was in broke up. I bought the Alesis HD24 new years ago and mainly used it for recording demos at home, plus 2 gigs I played. The Presonus gear has had little use too. All in all, very good and in excellent condition! Alesis HD24: As the Alesis HD24 has an abysmal ethernet 10base port and ropey FTP server implementation, and the FirePort is no longer supported on modern OSes, I used to use HD24tools. I cannot include any help or instructions on using HD24Tools - you'll need to get in touch with the author of that software for help (he is helpful and friendly). I am including the USB interface I used to connect to the drives. Note that this is housed in the wrong sort of 5.25" bay so the cables poke out the back and the on/off button on it is not housed properly, so use with care! Works absolutely fine though, and a million times faster at getting files off these disks. Note that some idiot once spilled beer on the buttons years ago (not me - if I ever found out who did it....) so sometimes some of the buttons stick in/out but I have cleaned it and it all works fine. This is the only problem that occasionally crops up with the unit. Although not pictured, there is also the PSU for the USB caddy. This is NOT the XT. Includes Alesis HD24 LRC remote. I could not get this to work, which was a pity as I have never ever used it. I do not know why it does not work. The manual for the HD24 is included. Includes two original Alesis HD24 hard disk caddies. Only one of the caddies has a disk in it, which fired up fine when I tested it. Note that you can apparently fit SATA drives to these caddies using an extra board (but I can't help you with that, sorry). Includes one third-party HD24 disk caddy with an IDE disk inside. This will need formatting in the ADAT HD24 as it is currently formatted to FAT32/NTFS or something which is not compatible with the HD24). Also includes one USB 5.25" hard disk caddy for use with the externally available HD24Tools package to get audio off the disks easily. With PSU and USB cables. Freestyle carpeted flight case A Freestyle 8U flightcase, carpetted and with strong ply construction. This is not a flimsy box! It has aluminium edges. Samson Powerbrite Pro A Samson power distribution unit. You can change the fancy light-up text by getting some acetate printed. The bulb for the rear light has gone. The front of the PSU has a pop-out light for lighting up the rack. There are 8 IEC outputs at the back, a 10amp breaker in the unit so that it trips before the 13A it is fed with trips. There is also an unswitched IEC connector on the front. Pictures galore here: https://drive.google...cDJXWk9VTjRMQ1U
10. Hello I am selling one of my cases as I am finding that I don't take all of my basses out at the same time, so this is surplus to requirements. It's a Hiscox case and its odd shape would suit something like a Warwick Dolphin. All great condition apart from a flew mild dents as you can see in the pictures. The inside is a plush delicate carpet that would suit an opulent 1970s styled-room with lava lamp etc.... Collection only - I am in Droitwich but will meet junction 5 of the M5 if this is more convenient. Alternatively, I commute to near Birmingham Airport so anything a few moments from the M42 en route back to Droitwich is acceptable - I'll drop it off or meet up. Pictures here: https://drive.google...dXc&usp=sharing Thanks Rich
11. I sold a BBE to Nicolas. He was very easy to communicate with, friendly, and quick with payment. No problems at all, a good guy!
12. I ended up using No More Nails and put it onto the piece of brass, which I then wedged back in the hole. Also pasted some around the top of the brass to make a ring around the top over the lip to the wood. Seems to be holding! Thanks for the insights.
13. If you paste the url in from YouTube, they add the s to the http so it reads https. Seems the bass chat system doesn't like that, so try removing the s so it just starts with http.
14. I am selling my BBE BMax-T as I have two of these. One used to be in my live rig, and one at home but I am slimming down a bit. Some details: - I bought it secondhand without a box. I will package it appropriately. - I don’t have the manual but can point you to the PDF. - This is the earlier model WITHOUT the red knobs. These are black knobs with white markers. These are actually much easier to see/read than the later red knobs (which have an invisible blob as the marker). - It has the original GrooveTubes 12AX7 in it. You can replace it by taking the lid off. - You cannot get it to overdrive or fuzz (unless you boost the input before hand I suppose?) - The tone stack on this is a Fender tone stack, so the treble/mid/bass settings should be set to 10/2/10 o’clock for relatively flat. - There is a further parametric mid control so you can boost/attenuate various frequencies. - It has a single-knob compressor on it: in truth this is a limiter with fast attack and release. If you thwack your bass, some peaks can get through. Although labelled 0-10, you are just adjusting the threshold for the limiter to kick in (so think of the labelling as -10 to 0). - There is no makeup gain control on the compressor - use the main output control for that. - It has a Jensen transformer for the DI (worth £70 by itself). - It has the famous BBE Sonic Maximizer in it (which is an IC on the main board). This basically attempts reversal of phase smearing so sounds reach your ears in a phase-coherent manner (all at the same time). I have no idea how this works because to my mind, you’d need to know where the listener was to work out how much to delay a frequency range. It is on a variable control, with a low contour boost too. Too much of this sounds odd, but a little bit adds some great punch! You can read up on the patents for the Sonic Maximizer here: https://patents.google.com/patent/US5510752A/en https://patents.google.com/patent/US5736897A/en http://www.radio-flier.com/bbe_data.htm Photos available here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3vzHZmGDdwKZE9xdGtDZFhLa2M I did a video overview which has some sounds on it: http://youtu.be/7PNCR22MXtA Postage is £10 within the uk on top of the price (£140).
15. Thanks very much for the comments. Humphrey is indeed a amusing fellow. He always has a grumpy face on him but he's normally happy. He has his moody moments. I am actually about to sell this very BBE as I try to reduce the plethora of gear I have!
16. Hello I did an overview of the BBE BMax-T. Available here on YouTube: http://youtu.be/7PNCR22MXtA Hopefully useful to someone, apologies for the dodgy playing and video editing. Thanks Rich
17. Sold a cab to Steve, very friendly chap who sent me money before I even met up with him after work. Good communication and met on time, great!
