  1. Hi all I have 2 Jim Dunlop SLS1031N Straplok locks - the top half that fits to your strap, but for the life of me, I have no clue where the knobs/buttons went to. Does anyone know where these can be bought? I really don't fancy shelling out £16-18 for another set.... or having to drink Grolsch again for the rubber grommets hahaha My thanks in advance
  2. Seriously? Wow - niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice trade mate
  3. Damn, all I have is an SR1205 which is amazing, but not as immaculate as this. What a gorgeous bass!!!
  4. 2 Questions if I may Does this have a gig bag or case any idea what the shipping costs would be? You're in Scotland, yes? Many thanks - Julian
  5. PM sent (apologies, internet issues, so message didn't transmit until early this morning)
  6. Wow, that's one beautiful bass!
  7. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/tmb30_1p_03.html
  8. That 1305 is a beast - they are stunners!!!
  9. My absolute pleasure @Oldman: Good luck with your search mate
  10. How about the SR505E? A little less than your 705, but just as sexy. Or the SR605E for a little bit extra?
  11. Ah, lucky devil... for all the positives that Brexit potentially can/will/might bring about, musical instruments from the EU are not one of them 😭 Too right... makes me almost (almost) not want a BTB again... nah!!! LOL The GIO is such a great bass for beginners and anyone on a budget. Mate of mine bought one, then spent a little on EMG pickups and EQ and it sounded terrific and of course, played really smoothly! YAY IBANEZ!!!
  12. Just out of interest, did you get this prior or subsequent to the Brexit tax laws? Also, which shop in Germany? I am looking at the SR306EB (I sold my 6 and immediately miss having it) - what a stunner, and for that price!!! A steal Ibanez make basses that just want to be played. I've fiddled in store with the cheapest of the cheap and although they sounded weak, they played like dreams - bung in some decent electronics and you have a better than average instrument.
  13. Damn, that fretless is a beaut!!!
  14. And as I deliberate - it's gone... I really do need to get off my hands some times and just make the move Congrats on the sale @RussFM
  15. Question: if I use the 3 switches as a patch, or a scene... can I engage all of them together? All on simultaneously? IOW: button 1 is (say) a compressor, button 2 a preamp and button 3 a chorus??
  16. Many thanks @jrixn1 and @RussFM. I suspected as much, just wasn't sure. I supposed, incorrectly, that you could assign 3 effects per switch, which would allow me to have the comp/pre on each and every switch and add an effect where required. Ah bugger....
  17. Hi all, I'm considering getting a Zoom B3 as a means of reducing my footprint (train travel means lightening the load) and also having a few possibilities for my function band without the need for a lot of pedals (which I don't have). Hopefully this will be a simple enough question to answer, but can I do this.... Have button 1 as a permanently ON compressor/preamp Button 1 is a universal setting regardless of the bank. (same basic sound throughout) Button 2 and 3 as effects for as-and-when required effects. Oh, can I use a Boss type of 9v to power the unit, or is there a specific power supply I will need. And my thanks in advance. Julian
  18. I play a 1205 and I can say without prejudice that it is one of the most amazing basses I have ever played - sonically and in my hands. And for that price ... wow, I'm tempted just a 2nd hahahaha
  19. Damn @stewblack, that's just another reason to get this. Right... The "official" Plethora thread
  20. I like the idea of a digital pedal board, but without the complexity of some MultiFX units. I've tried a few and as you say, most of the effects are of little use... Even to the fringe bassist I would suspect. A drive in the loop would sort the "hole" out, and as you also say, these are quality effects and relatively easily customised. Now to find £399
  21. That's a great review then mate!!!
  22. This is exactly what I want... I love chorus, delay, reverb... the rest is just a plus. The TCE compressor I am unfamiliar with, but seems to have good reviews - and especially as it's TP driven, as are all the effects, that is a win (plus the software to tweak). I guess I will just have to wait until I can get one - or justify one through "house arrest" Thank you for the great feedback @stewblack
  23. I guess they're figuring (as this is definitely geared more towards guitarists than us lot) that you'd slot your choice of dirt pedal into the loop, aaaaand be able (like onboard) to select where in the chain it goes. To be fair to TCE, if enough people ask (or complain), chances are they'll include drives in a future firmware. This looks like a win though for a lot of jobbing bassists. Me included
  24. Hey @stewblack. Nice one. What TonePrints (if any) are you using...and/or what "pedals" will you be using? I've been interested in one of these since it was announced. This or the H X Stomp, but I like that this is pretty much a pedal board's worth of stomp boxes and very little else. And I do like TCE
  25. @bottomfeed Stunning. How is the MB octave? I've found very little by way of reviews or videos (that weren't from MB themselves). BTW, what board is that?
