Hi there
I'm looking to replace the stock knobs on my Ibanez SR506 (metal in smokey black) with the same knobs on my SR1205. These are the same ones that are on the Yamaha TRB range.
My issue is paying upwards of £16 for one knob, when I know what generic probably cost. I just don't know where to find the generic. Can anyone recommend an online shop for the generics, or at the very least, somewhere that won't fleece me?
Pictures are not the best, but you can see what I'm looking at. Many thanks in advance

Please don't over estimate me. I am utterly clueless.
This will be
A) A fun learning experience
or
B) An expensive source of frustration, which ends up on the For Sale pages.
PMSL... yeah, live and learn is an expensive game innit? Good luck and looking forward to seeing your posts

Lockdown lunacy cannot be discounted.
Well, I'm not alone then hahahaha

Ah, Midi - I understand so little of how that works, I admit. but I can see the possibilities

Interesting approach hahahaha - I like my basses though (ponders).
I will be watching your posts @stewblack, as ever, with much interest. I am curious to see how "easy" it is to (a) use the Stomp as an FX board, (b) a midi switching master and (c) how much of the bells and whistles (the amp and cab sims, the routing etc etc etc etc etc) are needed for playing down the pub, and how many are really nice to have as recording and live tools. But this is not that forum is it hahaha

Getting my Helix Stomp soon...
I'm interested in understanding why you would want the Plethora and the Stomp together. Surely the Stomp has more than enough effects?
I'm also interested as I'd love a decent multi-fx (said with a great amount of respect to the fact that neither the Line 6 nor the TCE are actually MFX units) and I've tossed about the idea of the Stomp vs the Effects vs the Plethora. I have never been a great user of drive (I love dry tones, but in a function band, as needs must...).Asking for myself

Dirt, synth and envelope filter top of my list.
I hear Dirt is on its way - not sure when, but TCE have said they would look at it should the demand be great. It's funny, you'd think TC would have at least one drive pedal in the TonePrint arsenal, but it would seem not... and yet, the MojoMojo is quite usable with bass

Thanks @Lfalex v1.1... I shall investigate... just hope I can find a spares shop that sells the buttons for these gems

Hi all
I have 2 Jim Dunlop SLS1031N Straplok locks - the top half that fits to your strap, but for the life of me, I have no clue where the knobs/buttons went to.
Does anyone know where these can be bought? I really don't fancy shelling out £16-18 for another set.... or having to drink Grolsch again for the rubber grommets hahaha
My thanks in advance -

2 Questions if I may
- Does this have a gig bag or case
- any idea what the shipping costs would be? You're in Scotland, yes?
Many thanks - Julian

Okay, so since my last post I've been playing my present 30" bass a lot (a Squier Jag) and remembered why I went for short scale in the first place. So, no need for something in the sub-£500 category, but do Ibanez offer anything 30" at the pricier end of the spectrum?

I still can't make my mind up whether to sell my 1305 Premium. "Right, I'm selling it", then I have a play with it and decide I love it too much.
That 1305 is a beast - they are stunners!!!

Either one would suit me, just have to move my Sandberg 35” Fiver, I regressed to 34”, I also have a 34” 6ixer NT I bought to complement the fretless, it’s not Ibanez but it sings, just a string too far for me. Thanks for your pointer muchlybappreciated.
My absolute pleasure @Oldman: Good luck with your search mate

1: I'm in Norway, so we've always been outside the EU tax laws I got it from https://www.musik-produktiv.com/
2: Yeah, the SR3XX series are amazing value instruments
3: Agreed. Even the GIO axes are fully giggable in their stock form.
- Ah, lucky devil... for all the positives that Brexit potentially can/will/might bring about, musical instruments from the EU are not one of them 😭
- Too right... makes me almost (almost) not want a BTB again... nah!!! LOL
- The GIO is such a great bass for beginners and anyone on a budget. Mate of mine bought one, then spent a little on EMG pickups and EQ and it sounded terrific and of course, played really smoothly!
YAY IBANEZ!!!

This model was discontinued a couple of years ago, but I found a store in Germany that had a few in stock still. It's in the lower end of the price range, but Ibanez is really just incapable of making instruments that feel bad to play.
-
Just out of interest, did you get this prior or subsequent to the Brexit tax laws?
Also, which shop in Germany? - I am looking at the SR306EB (I sold my 6 and immediately miss having it) - what a stunner, and for that price!!! A steal
- Ibanez make basses that just want to be played. I've fiddled in store with the cheapest of the cheap and although they sounded weak, they played like dreams - bung in some decent electronics and you have a better than average instrument.

And as I deliberate - it's gone... I really do need to get off my hands some times and just make the move
Congrats on the sale @RussFM

Question: if I use the 3 switches as a patch, or a scene... can I engage all of them together? All on simultaneously?
IOW: button 1 is (say) a compressor, button 2 a preamp and button 3 a chorus??
