I know this is an old thread, is the Carol Kaye book still available as it's not crossed through? -
I looked at some of her books. The postal prices put me off a little especially as you can't view the books like you can in a shop, to see if they may be suitable or not.

I have for sale a USA fender '62 re-issue jazz bass in sunburst. It's from 2002/3. I purchased to make it fretless, but decided not to a buy one already fretless. This includes the brown rolex case, all case candy, chrome covers, these have never been fitted so no holes in the body yet. Also the string mutes, brass earth strip. Any questions please ask. also If you would like more detailed pictures please ask and I will do them as soon as possible. The bass has hardly been used which you can see by the condition of it. There is a mark on the bend of the top horn. The rear of the neck has a lovely figured pattern, which is quite rare for a standard production model. You should be able to see that in the pictures. Just added a few pictures with the scratch plate removed as requested. Collection preferred but I can post for £40 including insurance to the value of £1000. Sale only as I already have a bass to replace this one.

Seems the days of being in one band only are long gone. I'm in two, in addition to other dep gigs I get. All similar music.

Looks like this scheme is a victim of it's own success. I wonder what the scrap value of strings are?

Hi Guys, I've been on this forum for quite some time, but only look at whats going on. I've been playing bass since 1988, mostly in 50's 60's Rock n Roll bands. I've been fortunate to play with some great musicians including Jet Harris who remains the only bass player to have a number 1 record with the bass as the lead instrument. Also done a stint in a West End show. I current play in a Cliff Richard and The Shadows tribute show, so not sure how that will go in the near future. Thats about it. thanks for reading
