1. Hi all, I would be really interested to hear about the experiences of those that play bass in church worship teams and with praise choirs etc. Besides Norm Stockton's input on the matter, I've found very little public discourse surrounding bass as an instrument for worship. Cheers, Tobie
2. Thanks Kodiakblair. Sean Byrd's good isn't he? I like the way he plays, the way he thinks about playing and the way he talks about playing. It's quite unusual to find a gifted player who is also a gifted communicator amongst the annals of the internet. He could smile more though!
3. These are from some years ago. I don't play this sort of thing anymore, but really enjoyed it when I did. I'd like to do some more when the time is right. 4. An interesting festive arrangement. The bass is low in the mix mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Raxfn47uNo
5. Played an SR605 whilst testing some cabs recently. It was a really nice bass. Tobie
6. Oodles of groove... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpnIl2WpR1U
7. Hi SaxyBassist, The Genz is mine. I'll be visiting family in St. Albans, Herts for around a week from 28th if that helps? The combo is 500W at 4 ohms and 300W at 8 ohms into the cab's two 10'' drivers. It's a great sounding, loud combo. Cheers, Tobie
8. Cheers Musashimonkey, One thing that attracts me to both ranges is the speaker alignment. Good to hear from an owner that it's all gravy with the RSs - I will seek out the 212 to have a try too. Tobie
9. Are there any more opinions on this? I'm pretty much decided on either range (2 x 210, 210 + 212 or 210 + 112) to go with my newly acquired Eden WTX500 head (thanks to Bassbunny). Haven't been able to compare like-for-like, but definitely preferred the K212 over the RS210. Generally prefer 210s and would like to try the K210. K series in general looks well built and high spec for the money. Where's the compromise? There also seem to be a few RS cabs appearing in the Marketplace here. Any particular (sinister) reason that anyone knows of? I'm not bothered about looks, incidentally. Cheers, Tobie
10. Great band. Saw them seven or eight years ago in Manchester and it was slick. Midnight at the Oasis must be considered an acid jazz classic.
11. Some great playing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHgTlbXuAgI
12. I bought an Eden WTX500 head from Stuart yesterday. The whole transaction was quick, easy and very friendly. Much appreciated, cheers! Tobie
13. Thanks Cachao. It is great, but like yourself, I'm looking to change to separates. It's a loud and great sounding combo, that can become an absolute monster with an extension cab.
14. I'm interested in trades for lightweight amps, 10 and 12 inch cabs.
