  6. I'm seriously giving some thought about contacting a bass teacher ,if I can find one around here ,plenty of guitar teachers around theses parts bass ,rare as hens teeth ,my condition been to see specialist and had confirmed so not lot I can do really apart get on with it me dears ,even if my fingers fell off I'd still play bass somehow it's in my blood .cheers peoples

  8. I'm never happy with my basses well for a couple of months maybe then it wears off , and I crave for something new ,I'm yet to find one I'll keep for ever as one never gives me everything I need sound wise ,then again I'd never spend more than about £500 note on one ,I'd.be to scared to take out of the house ,a few months ago I used my mates American jazz at gig ,but it stressed me out case it got robbed or damaged I couldn't settle till I got it back in the case ,but I do worry about daft things .
  9. Hiya truckstop I've tried various things ,straps , strings, sitting down is fine ,but when I'm playing live but bit of a no no really think the audience may have something to say about that one ,unless we start playing folk gigs then suppose I could sit down all night but I don't think I'll be going down that road ,lol.cheers fella ,think I've just had enough of full size basses to ,thanks for the advice ,regards kev
  10. Hiya subsonic now on lights not really made much differance to my jazz my aria m series she's nice at the best of times .hello number6 gonna check the gretch out if I can found one around here and I've heared good things about the rumble cat
  11. Hiya everyone ,I'm just wondering peoples thoughts on short scale basses .i think I may have posted a similar thread before .i have a condition known as havs ,hand held vibration white finger, for people who don't know what is I'll give a quick lowdown pun intended .its pins and needle in the fingers blanching of the fingers are some of the symptoms .so here's my question I'll always played 34" .had a couple of shorties never got on with them but coming to a point where's my hands really struggle sometimes when playing live .just the size of short scale put me off make me feel like guitarist and not a bass player now that's a dirty word to me guitar. and apologies to you all ,any good short scale you can recommend not to much cash either case the rest of my band just take the piss really which they do anyway or it going to have be a slim neck bass .cheers me dears
  12. Hello doddy no offence taken ,Ive never used bergs so what amp are you using with your ashdowns and I thought everyone love bergs ,just curious that's all regards kev
  13. Cheers Luke,I may sample a small half or several lol
  14. Dear ashdown , I will take you up on your kind offer give me a date and time and I will come down ,I live in south cheshire ,quite a trek but I'm looking forward to it do I need to phone you direct to arrange this? .regards kev
  15. Dear ashdown , I had various cabs can't remember them all sorry eb180 combo now i loved that combo it was a beast just the weight nearly killed me, the little giant series the fans kept failing especially live after several occassions of having these fixed I gave up having my amp shutting down in a gigging situation not good that's why I had a back up ! Now I liked these amps but the fan failing but me off .mibass cabs sorry they never gave me the sound I wanted .maybe fit tweeters with control switches on the back ,problem is I need a more varied sound because my band play from 50s upto modern pop ,what about a revamped little giant head without the fan fail ,now I'd buy one of those as for the root master stuff I can't comment as most music shop around here don't seem to have them or there not set up bit like buying car would not buy without a test drive if I could try them I could give my honest opinion on this range and respect that you have come on here for answers .hats off to you regard kev
  16. Dear ashdown enigneering people ,I'm very sorry if this is a very critical statements off average joe public .but as a lot of us are gigging musicians be fulltime or partime we need good dependable rigs which gives us what we need sound wise ,you made some great stuff back the in day ,I know your pro gear stuff is good I am told ,but we need someone to say ,hey I'm off to buy one them new ashdowns they are awsome even if it ment pushing the prices up a bit .balls in your court. Prove us wrong and restore our faith. regards kev
