  3. Hiya peeps, can anyone throw any light on these cabs it old maybe 60s or maybe 70s, I picked it up with pa head for next too nothing, tried it with mb head quit punchy I had pics later, cheers,kev
  4. Like dad said few lessons also, I would try too find someone who teaches bass only and not a guitarist who teaches bass, bass is a completely different beast altogether!!! Thats why we love it

Hiya Pete ,should image the 500 combo is awsome ,even my 100 killed my ashdown cabs and everything I tried for punch that why I sold the ashdown rig to my mate the sound just was not doing it for me anymore ,where the fender does I may even sell my mb250 head and put towards the fenders big sister the more I play it the more I love it ,I can also save my vertebrae now !!!!

  8. I may even buy the new fender rumble cab yet,I have fenders new 100 watt combo awsome little combo ,so I may buy it's big brother in cab form too run with my mb head yet and if the head does not work with the cab which I think it should do, I may go all fender yet

Hiya people ,after some advice on cabs really ,just sold my ashdown cabs so I am looking at replacements now ,maybe just one cab with plenty of punch but not too heavy as my vertebrae can not take it with heavy cabs no more and I don,t want anymore ashdowns cabs , got be under 300 notes as she who must be obeyed said no more big bulky cabs ,think her language was a bit stronger than that though!!! The music I'm too be playing is going lot heavier than my previous project ,kasabian, pearl jam prog rock that sort of style ,i have markbass blackline head 250watts into 8 ohms so want something too compliment this head .thanks in advance .kev
  12. Sorry guys should said the singer pulled a favour in got temp bass player who will only do it as a one off as his repetition as serious bass player could be under threat!!!

Hiya people,after the band I was in had a dreadful gig at the ipo 2014 at the cavern gig mainly due too our useless lead guitarist I've decided this band work better as a trio then he came along and balls it all up with his dreadful playing and stupid song ideas so after last Saturdays sh*tty rehearsal again. I've decided enough is a enough and have spoken to the singer and decided too walk, even pulling out of a gig on Sunday .I'm thinking of starting out again but the problem being where too look for. New band members really, been on join my band not really found anything on there any ideas please.cheers kev

Just got back from rehearsals with my drummer ,wah the rumbles 100 a punchy little sod,do I like it ,oh it's great little combo I'm converted think I will be selling my cabs and head and getting her big sister light as a feather ,love it,so if your looking at combos give these a go you want be disappointed
  19. Real nice set up fella, I'm looking at rumble cab myself to go with my mb 250 head, plus fender have stood the test of time also.
  20. I remember as a wee skinny teenager looking at trace Elliot stuff in my localish music shop in awe ,I never got one but once played one in the mid 80,s ,but unfortuantley blew my saving on wine,women,song ,would I enjoyed the trace more than the w,w,s.naaarrrr!!!!!!!

I was going get a ashdown 100watt combo myself ,tried the rumble 100 today ,no brainer really the ash stayed in the shop the rumbles now sitting in my front room with her shimmering grill looking at me god that sounded weird it's so light I thouhgt the speaker was missing at first lol,im taking her too meet the drummer tomorrow for reaheasals i will update you all tomorrow night see how it copes

  23. I know where your coming from but putting a nasty dent in fridge freezer ,something got to give !!! She who must be obeyed was none too pleased and as threatend too put my cabs in various orifces which sounds quit painfull!!!! Oh bugger lol

Hiya people,just bought a fender rumble combo 100watter for rehearsals ,so light and punchy ,here my problem do I now sell my two ashdown cabs and mb blackline head with cover ,and get myself another combo with more punch fed up off lugging my cabs round these day +my back cannot take it anymore,any ideas open to suggestions ,cheers kev
  25. Luckily for me I have back room where I hide my new stuff, cough,cough,then tell her,this had for ages but I am running out of excuses these days, oh bugger, I need a markbass cab now, but I'm afraid of the swift kick too my never regions may be quit painfull !!! Hope you enjoy it.
