1. The Chorus appears to have a 2 Band EQ. Nice touch. I've been pretty impressed with the MXR Bass offerings. Although I'm a firm lover of the Octamizer, TLC, and Filter Twin, the MXR Comp, Octaver and Envelope Filter are all GREAT pedals, and if I couldn't use the Aguilar pedals, they're what I'd go for.
2. I'm completely baffled by the Soulless comment. Anything with Chuck Rainey on it definitely cannot be called soulless
3. Bump...I'm back. Everything not listed as sold on the first post is still available. I go away again in just under 4 weeks so get em while theyre hot!!
4. Having just come back from a 2 and a half month stint on a cruise ship.... DO IT
5. Why not "spend ages working it out"? You'll do yourself a world of good, and you'll feel better at the end knowing you did it by yourself and didn't have to rely on incorrect internet tablature.
6. I will never EVER tire, of listening to any of their songs. Every album to me is a work of art. For me they are right up in the top 5 artists of all time.
7. Just had an update from Mr Shuker - The body is done and routed, and the basecoat has been sprayed and flatted. Next job will be spraying the Olympic white! The neck has been sawn and routed for the truss rod and carbon fibre channels. Fretboard still needs to be made and glued. Pictures of the body before the Olympic White goes on should be with me soon!
8. I own the TLC, Octamizer, and Filter Twin, and I haven't had any trouble regarding headroom!
9. That's funny, when I kick the Octaver on with my Filter Twin, getting off from the bass is exactly what I do!
10. I think I'd have to say the 65 LPB. That's how a bass should look after 40+ years of gigging. The 63 comes a close second though!
11. What trades are you looking for?
12. Just so you all know, this is my Dad, sorry for the lack of detail in the advert, he's not quite gotten used to the procedure here We've just had a little chat and decided the time isn't right to sell yet either, sorry for any confusion!
13. I've just bought a Barefaced Big One, because now that I'm doing work on the cruises, the 2 DB212's are surplus to requirements!
14.
I use the Filter Twin more than my MuTron III!
I've only had the Filter Twin for a couple of months, and it's already done more gigs than my Mutron which has been with me for several years!
15.
Quasar DLX - been thinking about one for a while - what do you you think of it?
Most awesome Phaser you can get for the money. Seriously so many options, and it just sounds great. Bit overkill if all you want is the typical Phase 90 sound or whatever, but if you're looking for bang for your buck, and versatility, then this thing is unbeatable IMO.
16. I might be looking to move on my DB212's, and was probably gonna let one go first, so if you're interested, PM me
17.
PM'd on BassIQ...
Damn. Second in line
18. I don't know if anyone remembers but I mentioned a while ago about moving to a modular setup, where I can link 2 or 3 different boards together depending on the gig - Just finished the mock up for the second board, as I have all the pedals, and will be buying another PT-Nano in the near future!
19. Ok, selling these for my Dad. Xotic Bass BB Preamp I generously bought him an Iron Ether Oxide after he fell in love with mine, so up for sale is this great Preamp/Overdrive/Distortion with Volume, Gain, and Bass and Treble controls. Really versatile unit. It's in MINT condition as Dad doesn't use pedals much! £100 incl. postage. Got the box for this somewhere too I think! *SOLD* Diago Gigman Pedalboard In good condition. One of the hinges was broken, so we repaired it with longer screws to keep it secure, as you can see in the pictures. Not a massive deal. It is now fully functional, and being offered at the bargain price of £40. Would prefer collection on this, but if you want it posted it can be arranged at your expense.
20. Hi Grant, forum rules state you need to post prices!
21. Great playing dude. If I didn't already have a Filter Twin I'd buy one after watching that
22. I think I am just Filter junkie though, cos I also have a Filter Twin, DOD FX25, Subdecay Proteus, Boss FT-2 (really great filter actually, surprised me!!) as well as the Prometheus and Mutron. Lol! I've had the Mutron for years and I've never gigged it. I think you hit the nail on the head, it's very sensitive to different basses, the bypass is terrible, and its huge, so it's really best kept for studio use really. The Aggie Filter Twin is currently on my 2nd board so if I do need a filter...That's the one thats coming to the gig!
23. Thanks very much Shep! Will hopefully be getting another PT Nano soon, and filling it up with fuzzy goodness courtesy of the Iron Ether Oxide, some LOOOOOWWWWW end from an Aguilar Octamiser, and some funk from it's funky brother the Filter Twin...and Maybe a bit of Chorus from the Analogman Mini Chorus to spice things up a bit! Not decided on the line up yet...Will have to get my Micro Thumpinator on there too somehow...
24. Bought a B3K from Tom, and the transaction was just an absolute pleasure. Top bloke, highly recommended. Cheers mate!
25. Ivan sold me his Iron Ether Oxide, and the transaction was great from start to finish. Highly recommended. Thanks again mate!
