1. Thanks guys don't think i will be trying a 5 string just yet i am nowhere near close to mastering a 4 string yet and all the Fenders I have seen seem way out of my price range and from what I have seen online alot of people seem to think the MIM Fenders are poorly made I dont know if this is true? but the MTD seems to do what I want for what seems a fair price.I would like to try one really but nowhere local to me stocks them . Also I don't mind trying the second hand route don't really know what to go for make wise but I specifically want a P bass Im looking for that rocky twangy sound.
2. Hi all I am trying to save up for a good type p bass as my thunderbird isnt really giving me the sound I want just wondered if you could tell me what you think to this http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/MTD_CRB_4_BLK.html or wether you have any better suggestions? thanks in advance
3.
A squier is a licensed copy of a fender but made more cheaply abroad and with cheaper parts. They can be very good A rock bass might refer to a cheaper version of a Warwick made in china rather than Germany
Ah I see thanks mr Geek god the world of Bass is confusing lol
4. Im drooling wish I had the dosh right now
5. Hi all After a lot of googling Im still confused with different bass types I know about P basses and jazz basses and the difference between active and passive but I dont understand all the diffrences for example whats the diffrence between a Fender and Fender Squire and what do people usally mean when they call a Bass a rock bass I know its obviously for rock music but what category does it really fit into is it a jazz bass or a p bass? I hope this question does not seem silly I just wondered being a bass noob. Many thanks in advance
6.
Aww, c'maan guys! It's BROWN! And it's got little gay lotuses on the fretboard!
lol
7.
David Ellefson's model sold by Jackson is identical to the one he plays, apparently, and comes at a price. Jackson also sell a more affordable model based on his specs. (That's what Ellefson said at the London Bass Guitar Show.) I was suitably impressed and GASsing.
Yeah I saw that cool bass he also had a sig peavey zodiac I think and that was about £300 if I am correct bet it wasn't like the one he played live tho.
8. Some interesting answers cheers lads and yes ray against the machine that attitude bass looks really nice
9. Hi all I don't know lots about basses in general but after looking online at various basses I started wondering if signature guitars were a rip off for example I saw a Flea bass on Ebay and it was 200 odd pounds new now in the advert it says the same bass as Flea uses but I cant see him using a £200 bass I might be wrong and also I saw a Steve Harris Fender it pretty much seemed the same as most other Fenders in that category except it was about 500 quid dearer so in a nutshell are star endorsed basses a rip off or are they really the same basses the artists use?
