  1. Thanks, Neck dive is not a problem indeed, there are two factory-set up strap locks on the bottom of the bass to choose from (see pic with the scratches). The neck on this one is the thin version : 38mm
  2. NOW TRADED Hello, Up for sale is this American made G&L ASAT bass from 2005/2007 (original invoice from 2007) It is in excellent condition, with only the not uncommon little marks on the bottom (see pics), and set up with new DR Hi Beams. This is basically an L2000 with a Fender Telecaster shaped body and a Jazz Bass / musicman Sterling neck proffile (38mm at nut) : 1 volume, 2 tones 3 switches : - Active / active with high boost / passive - Series (fat bottom) / parallel (more sociable) - Neck pickup / both / bridge pickup This bass does a lot of things, sounds and plays pretty good. I am selling it because I do not get used to the thin 38mm neck, I prefer the larger ones. I am based in Northern France, but come once in a while to London and shipping is not a problem in the excellent original G&L hardshell case. I have dealt with a few members here, no worries. Shipping cost will depend on insurance, but would range from £25-£50 Paypal accepted, but the gentlemen do charge a lot and I prefer direct bank transfers or alternative solutions. (unfair colour rendering) (here are the scratches at the bottom, notice how horrible the specs of dust look on this picture)
  3. Just sent a bass to Mick (that is a long story). Trustworthy and fun. Everything was smooth and enjoyable, a pleasure to deal with ! Cheers !
  4. What is the weight of the bass ?
  5. Fantastic bass ! I've owned a 1973 P with maple neck, lightweight as well, very resonant, even unplugged, loads of dynamics and endless overtones.
  6. Now sold, and soon back to homeland. Please close !
  7. Oh yes it is, really fast glossy finish, thin but not void profile, loads of resonance, perfectly centered cut at the back, heavy birdseye fretboard, superb binding works and junction with body. I can praise this one as it is not mine anymore !
  8. A bit heavy, but worth the effort ! Great interest so far, it might well come back to dear Old Blighty !
  9. The weight is around 4,5kg or 4,7kg, not a lightweight instrument. I'll try to check precisely.
  10. Hello mister ! I never thought I would sell it, it is absolutely brilliant indeed !
  11. Hello, Up for sale is this Overwater Contemporary J4 jazz bass handmade in Carlisle in 2010. Asking £1200, including shipping in the original Hiscox case.. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249950] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249949] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249948] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249947] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249946] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:249945] More photos are available online here (poor light conditions): [url="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6qjYr_H2cqIcUhRenZhU1Y3Tk0?usp=sharing"]https://drive.google...Tk0?usp=sharing[/url] Ash body Maple neck (thin neck profile) Highly figured birdseye maple fingerboard 2 soapbars with balance knob 3 band active EQ Treble boost Ultralight hipshot tuners Set with 45-105 DR sunbeam strings. I bought it from basschat member TheGreek a while ago, and it still is in the same pristine condition, with just a tiny chip on the headstock. This is a superb bass, very sensitive, with great dynamics. The balance knob allows endless tone possibilities, and the electronics can get very loud. I'm selling it as I am focusing on precision style basses these days (Yamaha BB1200s being one of them !) Would consider trades with a Mesa Boogie Walkabout 12 combo, or part exchange + cash with a good quality 1x12 cab (Aguilar, Epifani, Mesa Boogie, Glockenklang, Bergantino...) or compact 2x10 I'm based in Northern France, just accross the Channel. Cheers
  12. It's not only the logo : Squiers don't have the same Wilkinson bridge and tuners. This one sounds good also... I did not ask too much detail from the guy I bought the bass from as the price was fair (roughly what you sold yours for) regarding the way the bass played. Now I've lost contact and am searching for details before I sell it.
  13. Hi ! I am unearthing this thread as I have bought roughly the same bass 2 years ago, 2d hand in France. Same Wilkinson bridge and tuners, Duncan pick-ups, body, neck, logo etc. It sounds gorgeous and has the same specs The guy told me he had ordered the parts from the US and sold it to me a good price. It sounded good, I bought it without asking questions. Now I am considering selling the bass but want to be clear on what I am selling. Where did you get this one from ? Best wishes,
  14. Mick is a guy you can trust. He answered any question speaking the truth, has been patient and helpfull. On top of this he has let me try some of his treasures, and even gave me a CD to listen to on the way back to France ! And all that not mentionning the bass I got. Oh la la what a bass ! Merci Monsieur Mick !
