Exactly my point. The “experts” that control the playlists for what they consider the stupid public or peasants to consume are not musicians and wouldn’t know good music from dross.
Always have been. Nothing has changed in the whole advent of pop music. It's all constructed of the lowest common denominator.
Main stream is for people that don't like music.

Don't buy one. Your own manual compressor is Your bouth hand fingers.
That is not really accurate

Tuner goes last on my board. Eliminate all noise to the amp between songs.

I'd get a boss LS2 or radial Di to mix the preamps together and send that to a fender rumble 800 or EBS reidmar 502 or other 2 Ohm amp.
Way easier to send that to the house desk or adjust your backline volume.
If you insist on dual amping, for which there is absolutely no reason imo, you could get two hartke or markbass units, or ampeg portaflexes. Anything 250w and up in parallel should be more than loud enough.

Has anyone found a decent clear sounding wireless headphone for transcribing basslines
I have the Marshall monitor II headphones, they come with an app with a decent EQ that could be useful.
As always, wireless is too laggy to play music with but transcribing may be just perfect.

I can set my bass up low but I don't want to. I have a strong grip and a heavy picking hand. A really low setup would be fretbuzz town and make me very unhappy.

currently in production
This made me look at the manufacturer's websites instead of the shops.
At Fender the only five string basses were jazzes, and ugly colours at that, so pass. (Those showed up when selecting 5 String Basses in the menu. Apparently there are more on the site. This reliability says enough on why to never get anything fender)
Maybe the ibanez SRMS805 (pictured) then.
Still I'd rather choose from either Mayones or Maruszczyk!

ISP Decimator II noise gate pedal.
I work with a good amount of compression and gain, this pedal really keeps all noise under control without touching my tone. One knob set to 1 o'clock, always on, that's it.

If only this were a five string ❤️

Super useful, thanks. But finding myself having a hefty prolapse with the first two: 144 strains to a grunt AND 12 grunts to a strain??
Used to be strayn and straine . Modern times and whatnot.

I use DR DDT 5-55 tuned in AEADG.
A 65-120 set sounds like only three or four strings to me, a downtuned fifth would be 135 or 140 in such a set?

Carnivore was a much MUCH better initiative than Type-o. Brutally honest.

They'll take a coat of black spray paint equally well.

If you can get a USA SUB for a good price they are just as good as a 'proper' Stingray
Absolutely not "as good". They were very good for the money a few years ago. Now they've sometimes tripled on the second hand market and that's at the top of what they were ever worth, quality wise.

One 8ohm 210 , or an amp that can drive 2,4 Ohm. Win/win IMO
-
8 ohm versions of a 212 and a 210. Use single or together as required.

A name change in 1990 would've done the world a service. I love 80s Metallica, though I'm a 90s kid. Newtallica (black album onward) has nothing interesting going on to me.

Awfully brilliant or brilliantly awful album title puns.

My band's releases are called 'Thrashist pigs' 'Très Metal' 'Weapons of mosh destruction' 'Thrailer thrash' and the working title for the next one is 'Thrasher island'
I won't spoil the genre of music we play.
