1. Hey All selling my Empress Compressor. I've only used it very briefly with some 'session' work, where i had to replicate the previous bass players set up. I needed the Empress Compressor for the 'Side Chain' . http://www.empressef...compressor.html STOCK PIC but mine looks exactly the same, with the original box. ill include shipping at £160.00 £215 at GAK
2. check out Jason Lollar pick ups.
3. I wasn't saying anyone in particular is using £4 headphones, guys.
4.
Tell me what in ear system you are using. That's quite an interesting claim you are making.
Nothing fancy just the Sennheiser EW300IEMG2 . along with ACS T2 in ear moulds. no claims being made.. maybe if you're using an in ear system but not the correct or purpose built moulds in your ears, the ear pieces aren't giving you the true sound of whats being thrown down the channel. no point spending £££'s on an amp and then £££'s on an iem system if you're going to listen through £4 ear phones, or even the ones they sometimes include in IEM packages- the speaker in your ear may be the missing link. we all have different ears obviously! what i hear and what works for me may not work for you guys.
5. i use them because IMO they sound fantastic live and in the studio, no matter which bass i put through them - i always get the sound i want. They're an amazing group of people, too. the amps are greatly reliable and the support set up at Ashdown is second to none. i also use in ears, sounds like my Ashdown rig coming through them.
6. IMO i think the price reflects on the rarity of the bass ( year, number, model and the history of the electric bass ) , rather than the name of the previous owner. IMO Pino's name is just adding Kudos, to the correct buyer.
7. id love this bass....... i have an original 1968 , that never sees daylight .. if its still around in a couple of weeks, i might be in for a punt. good luck in the mean time
