1. hmm, i hear what your saying, but with the sole 4x10 cab, the head only puts out 300W, instead of 450W. if what your saying about the 1x15 cab is true, how comes people still buy them?

3. ah that post is very helpful. i've searched and i cant seem to find the Laney B1 head anywhere - its not even on their website. i kinda figured, because the 4x10 cabinet would carry the mids-highs, i needed the 1x15 to fill out the low end, but ur saying that the extra cab made no difference? i think i'll have to try both cabs out in the shop (having 2 4x10 cabs seems a bit much for me, cos im only 15) PS. do you have any more pics of ur marshall stack? if u do id love to see them! cheers
4. YES! I emailed kissmybASS01 (talkbass forums), and he has sent me some pictures of his rig. with his permission, ive posted them up here... feel free to comment. Courtesy of kissmybASS01: Finally some pics! What do we think?? I think i like...
5. sorry! lol all im saying is i dont want second hand stuff... sorry if i offended u
6. lol im not really big on selling stuff anyway, i tend to just keep all my old stuff. besides the cabs arnt that hard to lug around. just chuck it in the boot of the car - job done. at least when you buy something new, you have a shop warranty on it, and u know its in perfect condition, cos who knows what the other person had done to it. he could have spilt coffee on one of the speakers, but since there are 4 speakers you would probably never know
7. lol im not a professional or anything. i just want something big and loud to be heard in a funk rock band, and this marshall looks like it can do the job
8. hmm well i definitly want a new amp, and i play mainly slap. im gonna definitly try it out in the shop before hand
9. im getting these for the same reason you want yours: Marshall MB450H Bass Amplifier Head £230 - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3178 Marshall MBC410 Bass Cabinet £200 - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3180 Marshall MBC115 Bass Cabinet £150 - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3179 Total Price = £580
10. can anyone post up any pics of the new Marshall MB range? cheers
11. for pubs and clubs, i would go for either: Warwick Sweet 25.1 Fender Bassman 250/210 Peavey TNT115 Marshall MB4410
12. lol, u'd think there are a lot of shops - which there are, but hardly any do the amps i've looked at. and i've looked at a lot. people love the marshall amp, and i know where i can try it out, and they have cheap prices too. i dont want to keep introducing more and more amps, its just painful lol. i must hav looked at at least 50 by now. im pretty settled on the marshall, provided i like it when i play it. i dont think i'm gonna bother trying out the ashdown
13. well after much research and discussion (on other forums), it definitely seems like the Marshall rig is the one to go for! I'll buy the head and the 4x10 cab first, as thats all i can affort at the moment, then buy the 1x15 cab at a later date. I absolutely cant wait!!
14. no sorry id rather just stick to my options listed in my first post thanks
15. also do you know if the Marshall MB450H head has a clipping light or something? because i cant see one
16. I was thinking of buying the Marshall 450w combo (with the 1x15 cab), but its 53kg! too heavy! So instead i will probably go for them all seperately - the 450w head, 600w 4x10 cab, and the 300w 1x15 cab. its annoying because if you get the combo (which is pretty much just the speakers and head built in) its £100 cheaper
17. nah sorry, id rather just stick to my 2 options above. either the marshall stack or the ashdown stack. im leaning way more towards the marshall, people say it sounds a lot louder and clearer
18.
Buy secondhand Ashdown ABM gear... Get a ABM500 Head and a 4 x 10" cab. Then buy another 4 x 10" cab or a 1 x 15" cab later for the full 575 watts
sounds like a good idea, but i'd rather get something new and not second hand. besides, where i live, its hard enough trying to find it in a shop let alone used
19. Hi guys, Just got a few quick questions to ask about this Marshall stack: Marshall MB450H Bass Amplifier Head - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3178 Marshall MBC410 Bass Cabinet - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3180 Marshall MBC115 Bass Cabinet - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=3179 Basically, will these all work together? And is it possible for me to just use the 4x10 cab by its self without damaging it? And do you know if there are any wheels to put on the 4x10 cab cos it looks pretty heavy! I'm either gonna get ^that^ Marshall stack, or this Ashdown stack: Ashdown MAG 300H Bass Amplifier Head - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=1633 Ashdown MAG 410T Deep Bass Cabinet - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=1629 Ashdown MAG 115 Deep Bass Cabinet - http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=...amp;prodid=1627 I'll have to try them both out and see which sounds best:bassist:
