8.
My bass height is determined by my boobs - any lower or higher and the strap cuts in to them or into my neck.
same problem here
  9.
They make basses big enough for that? Zach
so nice
  10. Well, I usualy wear it at whatever height 'covers things up nicely' I keep it just below the waist, as low as I can go while still doing the whole 'playing with thumb while muting with plam(easier name for that maybe?..)' thing.
  11. Thanks man! Looks beautiful it does..

    PA
Kind of but the PA encompasses the mixing desk and amplification for the speakers too. And it need only be a couple of speakers at that.
I think..I think I might just understand something technical now! Does that PA system usualy belong to the band or the venue then? Thanks..

    PA
Personal Address system, used by bands gigs. They are in simple terms speakers being controlled by a mixer. Ever wondered why a singer and drummer don't have amps?? what in particular do you want to know about them?
Just wondering what they were, so what you said pretty much. So at a largeish gig, if I see a big wall of speakers about 8ft high and a long way across, are they PA's? I probly sounds stupid, but thanks for your help mate!

    PA

I've looked and it's not going well, What is a PA....I think it has something to do with amps...and I'm getting confused... I tried looking for it...but that didn't help... Thanks!
  16.
Definitely, admittedly I bitch a lot about this country and it's far from perfect, but we could do a hell of a lot worse. It's one of the best in the world, but don't read too much into that
And I'm the fittest guy at weight watchers. Still not something to boast about....
  17. Anyone else notice that the 'laydeez in da house' needed a man to set this forum up for them?..
  18.
He didnt in the studio,im pretty sure it was watt-roy and siminon would play the guitar part of guns of brixton live while strummer played the bass part.As for magnificent 7 i dont reckon he could have nailed it live, ill download the bootleg now though as this has always been an argument i have wanted to defeat since i thought simmo looked so cool.
Yeah, I always knew he couldn't play the bass while singing it, but he did write the line. I swear I've seen him do magnificent 7 live...nut maybe not..
  19.
Easily His basslines can be a lot more involved than they first appear. White Man In Hammermith Palais is a great line
That ones a beauty, Guns of Brixton is my favourite though....

  22. Don't suppose there are any bass tutors/teachers in the Plymouth area? Thanks,
  23.
