1. I mainly just listen to CDs, there's something about listening to the whole thing through .. rather than just listening to odd songs here and there
 2.
No idea what a laney is like - hence this thread! So I'd like to get some views before i decide what to go for. Geek99 - How much is the laney?
I've got a Laney RB2 that i use, there perfectly decent amps and pack a punch for the size, fine for jamming with mates as well.
 3. I've got one of the Yamaha RBX 270 and it's works great for me, fine for occasional gigs. Don't know about the rest but like Clarky said the Vintoage Modified Squires are apparntly realy good for the money.
 4.
I'm 17 but I wasn't brought up bass wise into all the RHCP stuff, he is good no doubt about that but after I'd been learning for two years I stumbled upon fretless and Mick Karn and Jaco Pastorius I rate them way above him (I can promise that most 15-18 year old bassists will say they are inspired by Flea).
I'm 17 and have never realy got into Flea/RHCP ... not into Jaco either but hey
 5. Hey.. Got abit of a problem in that the cable keeps falling out of my bass (Yammy RBX if that helps) and not sure how to fix it.. Not problem with the cable as I've tried several. It just falls out at the slightest touch now. Any ideas? (sorry if this is a stupid question ) Thanks.

 9.
I wouldn't recommend the tool you linked to, which is designed to cut thick copper/plastic cables. Stainless steel is a different thing altogether. You can probably get something for a lot less than 20 quid from B&Q, why not take an old string down to the shop and try before you buy!
Yeah....the link didn't work properly, the thing I'm getting is " Planet Waves Pro String Winder (Bass) " ..It's got a cutter attached as well, that'll do the job right? Thanks.
 10. I found something...it's all good...thanks bremen...
 11. Hey, attempting to restring my bass for the first time, but got a question.. What should I use to cut the strings with? I've got wire cutters, but they don't make an impact against the string. Stupid question I know, but that's just 'cus i'm stupid , thanks for any help..,
 12. When your terrible at your instrument, the least you can do is look good while playing it....otherwise your just not trying
 13. Just remmeber, I believe you can copy 'quotes' from the song. Something like 12 bars can be copied legaly..but I maybe wrong...
 14.
I would imagine it would be entirely illegal on several levels.
'Course it would be, it's sharing, no greater crime in her majesties land. If I could get a copy of those though, it would be greatly appreciated :)

 21.
I thought we all sold our souls a long time ago?
