1. I'd go for the bass wah! if i remember i think it only wahs the mids and highs, so you keep alot more bass in the sound. also it can act as a volume boost aswell! as unlike the cheaper guitar wah it has a volume and another pot that controls the amount of wah, and also has the spring action so you dnt have to go from the toe postion. all those features are why it costs more. andy
 2.
Out of everything here, I'd go for the DB751 set-up with probably the DB classic black cab if you can cope with the size of it...but then everything in that league will be probably be big anyway. Fits the 20 yrs and unusual criteria as well, IMO. Matamp might be worth investigating.
i love my db750 thru my ampeg 610!
 3.
All I can add to that is just to try the M9 with an open mind if you decide to try one out. It doesn't feel like you're using a multi FX, which was my main worry with it at first.
indeed!
 4.
You are mistaken on the M9 you can have 6 sounds saved with a further 5 more scenes each with another 6 fx saved. The m9 can do 3 fx at a time with the 6 to choose from and use the looper all at the same time. The dl4 and fm4 can do 2 sounds at the same time (between the 2 pedals) with 7 sounds to choose from (4 on the fm4 and 3 on the dl4) and you can only use the looper with a basic echo. I'm not trying to force the m9 down your throat but its so much better than the xx4 range and for about the same as 2 new xx4 pedals. As for the boss it's very good but I've never got on with anything that was a dedicated looper, they tend to lack loop manipulation functions. The smmh is a great example of much you can mess with a loop, pitch and tempo shifting all with analog quirk and glitchyness. Hope this helps Oh and for those that don't know looperlative are doing a pedal that will be dl4 sized, it look pretty feature heavy.
no man its always nice to have ppls advice on these things! ill try and find one and try it out! i never got on with the boss multi effect unit i had a while back cos of the layout and the m9 looks a bit similar in its slanted design but we will see. andy
 5.
Just to echo that about the M9, it's fantastic. What is it you're not feeling about it? As essentially the sounds are identical to the ones in the FM4 and DL4 etc. Even if you only use the delays, it's better than the DL4 for versatility! (but more expensive if that's all you're using it for)
well here goes, from the vids ive seen you can only save one sound per an effect at a time, compared to 4 on my fm4 and 3 on the dl4, also i would only use it for the fm and dl functions, so i know that those two pedals together plus my distortions and tuner take up more room but i just feel that its better for me. does that make sense? andy
 6.
DL4 is fine with bass but again the M9 is a much better purchase as it would replace the FM4 and DL4 and offer more flexability Also the DL4 doesn't have undo which really, is a must unless you are the bass playing terminator known as Dood
im just not feeling the m9 after watching some vids loving the boss tho! andy
 7.
If its the flanger I'm thinking someones getting a serious bargain!!
really ? i think its the bf-2? andy
Before you buy any more of the 4 series pedals check the M9 and M13 out
yeh just check them out! they look cool. was looking for individual pedals to control dist, delay and synth/modulating effects tho. plus the a bit big, just me tho! i think im gonna save up and get the dl4, then with that and the fm4 and my ehx metal muff im set! andy
 12. had a bass lesson and saw a weird looking purple pedal in the corner of the room, asked what it was and then spent the next hour trying out ah line 6 fm4! awesome pedal and some really weird but useable tones! also works really well on bass! does struggle on some low notes with tracking but it makes up for it! heres a link hes playing on guitar but you get the idea the synth sounds are cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFwI7AniQrI but had to buy it! was so cool only prob is i now want the delay version! andy

 20. oppz! im in plymouth, devon haha yeh your probs right! Mmmm maybe looks nice but was really after a p or j andy
 21. well i got this bass as a project that i was gonna put some cool stuff onto/into but its to cool to cut into etc! so im looking to sell it to fund either the purchase of a p bass or j thats in need of some tlc that i can mod. The bass is in perfect nick sadly no case (its not standard with epi's) so pick up is prefered? i can meet half way if needed? the only mod i have done is to add strap locks and move the strap button to the back of the neck so there no neck dive. as i said im up for a trade so offer away. they go for 349 new, and this is as good as! and only about 6 months old, and with the straplocks mod and ill give the strap with the correct ends with the bass if you want? but anyway im looking for 280? any offers? andy

 25.
Folks I'm on the look out for an affordable Ampeg set up - relatively speaking anyway! £500 - £600 mark. There are some very different small Ampeg rigs for sale through BC at the moment and my question is whether it's the done thing to get you guys to give your thoughts on the merits of each set up. Don't want to offend the sellers obviously!! If this is a go-er I can edit this thread with some details of the set ups to invite your thoughts! Cheers everyone Ian
ive played thru a few ampeg rigs, none that really class as small! i love there cabs more than amps tho.
