3. If anyone needs an incentive, here's some quotes about the Sei Original range from guitarist magazine... "The final word on the construction of these two basses is that they've been built with near - fanatical precision" "For execution - ten out of ten" "The neck feels great" "...devastatingly well-made, possibly the best we've ever seen" Or look at the Sei website for a full scan of the the review
 4.
If I wasn't gearing up to order a Sei Original 6 next month (after I pick up my Sei Jazz fretless 5), I'd be all over this.
Ah shame! Well trust me you'll love it!

Is that Kingston Upon Thames - if so, I will be there at the end of the month, so that might work. Stu
Yeah kingston upon thames, great, I'll message you my number. I am looking to shift it soon, but there's always a good chance it will still be around then! cheers
 7.
So very tempted... Stu
Your welcome to come and have a try Stu! I'm putting some new strings on today or tomorrow.
 8.
That is stunning. I'm still toying with the idea of selling or trading my JO. Pics on my Gear thread, it's not everyone's cuppa colour wise though
Ha, interesting! well let me know if you do want rid of it at any point....not saying I'm entirely convinced on the flavour of colour ....not sure if I love it or hate it, I have a feeling it would be a bit too much for some of the black tie jazz gigs! but amazing for other more lively funk sets!
 9. Thanks guys!
Always liked the looks of basses with the bridge area cut out even though its not headless
Yeah me too, I think this one is one of the only sei basses to have that configuration!
 10. Forgot to add, If you'd like to hear it on some tracks, check out my myspace at www.myspace.com/harrydeacon its on the tracks by the Kingston Jazz Trio: All Blues - Zippy funky sound, but with sweet lows So nice - Warm, round verging on acoustic sounds Footprints - Somewhere in between ^ these are just a few of the variations on the tones, they don't even show off the versatilty of the mid range that this bass is capable of!
 11.
What about a Lakland Jazz 5 with Audere Preamp/Barts and some cash....
Hello, If you could send some pics, and info, and an idea of price you'd be after? Thanks
 12. Hello folks, Finally I've got used to the idea that I need to sell this bass, as need to buy a double bass and/or a jazz style bass, so here it is. Its got bartolinis Ebony fretboard, with a double lining round the edge. Zebrano as the main bulk of the body, with bookmatched olive front and back With ebony and maple between the two. Maple and wenge neck BC3P Schack 18V on board EQ system - basically some wicked electronics in the back where you can alter the frequencies of what the tone knobs will change via DIP switches!!! Headed but cut away at the bottom oh and the serial number is 007! condition is great, minus 3 small 'dinks' on the back of the neck..they don't affect playability at all, and can only be seen up close. I have the action set faily low, and it makes this bass very fast to play with its very shallow neck, it plays nicely with a higher action too. totalling up the spec on the Sei website, this would come too over £2500 (+6 months wait!), I'm looking for [s]£1700[/s], £1500 ..or its a long shot, but a trade for a lakland jazz (particularly after a 4 string joe osborne/44-60), sadowsky jazz, fender jazz or cheap double bass
VideoTHERE'S A SMALL VIDEO HERE TOO!
 13. Would you consider a trade for a lovely 5 string Sei original, with all the trimmings? Its got bartolinis ebony fretboard, with a double lining round the edge. Zebrano as the main bulk of the body, with bookmatched olive front and back With ebony and maple between the two. maple and wenge neck BC3P Schack 18V on board EQ system - basically some wicked electronics in the back where you can alter the frequencies of what the tone knobs will change via DIP switches!!! Headed but cut away at the bottom Was going to sell this a year ago, but fell back in love with it, time for a change now though. oh and the serial number is 007!
 14.
Folks, I have an overwhelming gas for a fretted or Fretless Wal, yes I know they are very rare these days but I can't stretch to £4k for a new one. I have a mint black/black maple Sadowsky Jazz and a Natural/Black Rosewood Sandberg they are both gorgeous! - Pics to follow but they are available to view in the gear porn section. Not interested in selling or trades for anything else other than a Wal, I would prefer a fretless if one is out there. Just a punt....... but if you don't ask!
I dont have a wal, But I do have something very different, my Sei original 5 string, Wicked bass, but i'm in need of a sadowsky jazz!.......Like you said....if you dont ask! Let me know if your up for a trade. Harry
 15.
Also what scale?
Ok cool, I shall get some up asap. It looks pretty cool though with an olive front and back, and with a brass nut and truss rod cover, fairly sure it's brass anyway cheers

 17.
Oh we're interested, but lack the funds to purchase such a lovely bass. Got any trades or price in mind?
I was thinking around 1700. But I'm looking for a 4 string jazz, Like a sadowsky metro UV. or a lakland, and always open to a vintage fender if the right one comes up. I still have to do the rounds of trying them and more out first though. So trades are always an option!
