No improvement on Debbie Harry’s vocals since the cringiest at the I.O.W. 👎
My wife has already left the room saying Debbie is just shouting/talking and not actually singing.

Nice to see Glen at the IOW playing with Blondie. I didnt know he had joined them. I'm still a bit gypsy's kissed at the way they sacked Nigel Harrison but hey ho. 😟
Their current bass player is suffering with a back problem, Matlock filled in for the festival gig.

He still looks uber cool.
And she sounds rotten, they’d be better off as an instrumental group.
Totally agree that her vocals are very poor.
I paid good money to see Blondie in Nottingham in December 2002, it’s the only gig I have walked out of, absolutely atrocious performance.

Definitely the 70’s, the music attached to so many great memories, left school, started work, first motorcycle and started dating my lovely wife.

I used to. I coached it for 9 or 10 years too. One of the greatest ever fast bowlers is a decent bass player. I’ve a vague memory that his band once played at my cricket club. A guy called Curtly Ambrose. I’m not sure if he’s on this forum or not 😀.
Curtly’s band is called Spirited, I had the pleasure of seeing them perform at the Galley Bay Hotel in Antigua, superb professional band, had a chat with Curtly during the break, a nice friendly guy. 👍
Ex West Indies captain Ritchie Richardson also in the band on guitar.

Totally unique soul singer. And that what she really was, a soul singer and she was fabulous at it, she just happened to record some rockish music. I have this DVD. She was in her 60s when she did this live performance. Incredible.!!! .. Like Marvin said she was a one off. I always think instead of getting whizzed off just watch something thats a positive. This is just....
Also the late John Miles on guitar who died in 2021.

Fret it, I personally can’t stand playing open strings unless absolutely required.

Saw him Tuesday evening in Bexhill on Sea. I agree he can certainly play a guitar, but honestly after the fifth or sixth number it’s all a bit repetitive. And extremely loud. Bass player was excellent with a fine sound from the Ampeg stack behind him. The sound and lighting guys were perfectly synced with the music and the films projected behind him were very amusing.
Sorry to say we left at the interval, along with a good few others. I’m pleased I saw him, we’ve had the tickets 3 years and we’re beginning to wonder if we’d ever see him. But I wouldn’t bother again. Sorry. It’s a shame Chickenfoot are no longer active, they would definitely be worth going to see live.

Great band, saw them at their height at Cambridge Corn Exchange.
We used to do Two Princes in our set, a killer song for the vocalist, if it’s played at slightly faster tempo it’s a real job to cram all the words in.

Yes, this is Mick Mason, sat next to his partner who is the singer in the Carpenters Tribute. He also plays pretty regularly with a Queen tribute, although by all accounts he's finding it difficult to find musicians to play with him, or sound/lighting crew. Probably because he has a huge reputation for not paying them!
She looks nothing like Freddie Mercury, he was much better looking.

Currently watching Van Der Valk on ITV, just flicked over to Elton during an advert, just caught a small bit of Benny and the Jets, what a great band with a cracking bass sound, will be watching it later on catch up.
