4. Hello Lloydy I don't know mate, I didn't see signs of ply when I changed the pick up but the previous owner had used copper screening in the cavities so it was all covered over. It doesn't feel light enough to be ply and is comparable in weight to my CV which is solid wood. cheers Mike
 5. Thank you bassman

 10. For sale a really nice 1991MIK Samick factory all black Precision bass. I bought this off the site last year to practice with and it has hardly been used. It is an excellent condition for its age and the marks on the photos hardly show up in real life, I think the flash must make them stand out. It isn't unmarked, there are swirls etc but it looks really, really good and is well polished and very attractive. I have put in: CTS pots, Orange Drop Cap a Switchcraft jack socket and a really nice pick up out of my Classic Vibe Precision. The neck is excellent, the frets are in really good order and the fingerboard has been treated with Lemon Oil, so all in all a really well sorted cheap bass for either a back up or your main axe, it is strung with flats and plays and sounds lovely! and is very rock n roll! I live near Chipping Norton and any trial is welcome. I am happy to ship at the buyers expense but would prefer pickup. Please check out my feeback under Pestie Thanks Mike (Pestie)
 11. Here is my excellent USA Spector Shorty bass for sale. I bought this off the forum last year and have hardly played it. Mick who I got it from bought it new from Bass Direct and he hardly played it so it is immaculate. When I took it to my guitar teacher he just smiled from ear to ear and said "Effortless" enough said!!!!!!!!!! The bass was originally designed for Garry Tallent, Bruce Springsteen's bass player. Stuart Spector then decided to make this bass available to order to the general public and it offers all of the luxury appointments of a USA Spector but with a 30.4 inch scale. The body is lightweight mahogany with a superb quilted maple top finished in a translucent black satin. The neck is a bolt on 3 piece maple affair with dual graphite rods and a pau ferro fingerboard. The hardware consists of a Hipshot type A bridge, Gotoh GBY 7 tuners. The electrics are a pair of EMG 35CS soapbars and and Aquilar OPB 3 preamp. Controls are: Vol/Vol/Mid/Stacked Treble and bass. You also have a push pull on each volume for coil splitting and push pull on the mid to select frequency. This is a boutique short scale bass that has the feel and refinement that a discerning bass player will appreciate. It is far to good for my limited abilities. The bass is immaculate and comes in the correct Spector hard case. The retail is about £2'600. I bought it off Mick for £1'400 and that is what I would like for it please. I don't want any trades thank you. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire and you are more than welcome to come and try it and have a cuppa and chat. thanks Mike(Pestie)
 12. For sale is my as new Genz Benz cab. I bought it new from Bass Direct about 4 months ago for £349 without the cover which cost another £55. Since buying it I have hurt my back and arm and needed something lighter so bought a Barefaced off the forum. The cab has only been used about 5 times and never gigged so is in "As New" condition. Here is some spec for you:

Four 150w speakers
Compression Tweeter
1/4" and Speakon inputs
3 Position tweeter level control
Reinforced multi layered plywood
Heavy duty metal speaker grill
Recessed metal handles
600w
8 ohms
26"x24"x17" approx
29kg
Roqsolid cover with green piping
I would like £205 for the cab and cover please, it is all as new and at this price must be a bargain. You will need to collect this cab because it is fairly large and weighs around 29kg. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. Thanks Mike (Pestie)
