1.
that neck looks soo wide but soooo pretty very nice aquisition- especially for a "to keep you going bass" jealousy
Its a keeper. Going to have frets put back on it and upgrade the picks to 45J ( single coil Jazz bass type ) and preamp. The neck looks wide but is so easy to play, if you play a 5 string this would be an easy transition. I can honestly say shuker basses are amazing value. Its taken me a long time and lots of money to find out.
 2.
You hear the bass differently with PJB cabs when you're next to them; much less of an issue when there's some distance between you. Bumnote has had success standing to the side of his cabs rather than in right in front, perhaps try that?
Totally agree................. I have used the Jones rig at a few rehearsals last week and ALL group members could hear me. It is really good a projecting the bass sound without any drop out of bass or treble into every corner of the room. I have never had this with any other rig. The Epifani gives a more traditional sound....very round with a bright treble and loads of warmth. If only I could have both.
 3.
What about the m300 through the UL115 and sell the 6b instead of the Epifani? Doesn't matter if the head and cab don't match manufacturer-wise if it gives teh best outcome. Or keep both cabs for different situations and make some savings elsewhere?
The m300 head with the epi sounds fantastic..... But the size of the 6b cabs does it for me, I love the built in trolly it's so easy to transport. I wish I could keep both cabs, one has to go, the small room in my house is a ready over flowing with gear.
 4.
Dag-nabbit or whatever cowboys say in Westerns. Two months ago and I would have snapped your arm off for this but I went and ordered a Barefaced Midget T then (which is admittedly very good). I had a UL115 a couple of years back and have always felt it was the best one-speaker cab I have ever played through. So the best I can do now is bump this thread to the top and add my recommendation
I'm in a real delema...... The Phil jones rig, m300 with 6b, has a real hifi sound but lacks that bass cab bloom must of us like. If I switch to the Epifani cab the sound opens up with lots more bass and treble. If only I could have two rigs !!! I could get an Epifani head to go with the cab and sell the Phil jones or keep the Phil jones and sell the UL115. What do I do???
 5.
Hint of Ken Smith BMT there methinks...
Just a tiny little hint.
 6. I use mansons oil. http://www.mansons.co.uk/shopping/categori...ingerboard-oil/
 7. I have ordered a Shuker fretless 6 string P bass from Jon a few weeks ago and wanted something to keep me going for the next 6 months while it is being built. I came across this little beauty in the for sale section.......Its dated 1998, one of Jon's first creations. I will keep it fretless while my P bass is being built and then its back to Jon for a 'tarting up' and MAYBE frets???????? 8. I have for sale or trade an Epifani UL115 series 2 speaker cab. It is in great condition and cost £567 from the Gallery. http://www.epifani.com/products/UL2_115.php http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_deta...=Bass%20Cabinet £375 collected from maidenhead or sandhurst or could meet half way. Thanks.
 9. Can recommend these SWR cabs, they are punchy with great bass.
 10.
The man from Dunlop, he say "no". Sorry.
No problem. Always best to check first. One sold , one to go.
 11.
OK - I'll have one then!
You have a pm.
 12.
Aguilar replied as follows: We recommend using the Aguilar PSU-2 power supply with the Tone Hammer. However, most 18V power supplies will work fine as long as the output connector is center terminal negative with a 2.1mm barrel (standard for most effects units). Do you know if your PSU is center terminal negative?
They are standard centre negative terminal unit......will work great with the tone hammer.
 13.
And finally: Atlansia Solitaire
What the hell is this........................................... I love it.
 14. See me in 6 months when my Shuker six string fretless P bass is made.
 15.
Any idea if this will power up an Aguilar Tone Hammer? If so then I'll take one.
Sorry I have no idea, most pedals will take 18 volts but please check with a dealer or you might cause damage.
 16. Great info guys, Im ordering a pair of ER20's from ebay right now.
 17.
I won an ebay auction yesterday for an mxr 80 di but don't know whether it's compatible. I suspect it's 9 volt only but I'm hoping that's not the case as I hate relying on batteries. Will have to get back to you once I know and if you still have them then I'll have one.
Best to ask MXR / Dunlop they should be able to tell you if it will run on 18 volts.
 18. The same is happening my industry ( hifi And AV ), prices are being fixed on web site so there is a level playing field for both shops and web sites. I have found however if you call and make it clear you want to buy there and then you can haggle to gain a better price.
 19.
Do you know if this'd fit a Trace SMX compressor pedal? Runs DC Centre Pin Negative. Not sure on the plug size though!
I think the voltage is right but trace use a non standard plug ???
 20.
I just bought an SWR Goliath II cab. It sounds fantastic !!!!!!!! Considering it's age it is actually in very good condition. The carpet covering was a bit tatty looking, and there are a couple of marks on the grille. I want to spruce it up a bit though. I've given it a shave, and vacuumed it off, so the carpet covering is now very nice. My Brother is going to spray the grille for me, and I'm confident it'll look as good as new. I want to put some new corner bits on it, where do you get them from ?
Really glad you like the cab. It is a great match with your headlite to give a real deep and punchy sound.

 22. Did a swap of amps with Tim and he was a real gent. The courier didn't turn up on the right day and he didn't panic and everything went well in the end. Thank you Tim for your understanding on the delivery.
