Put these on my Overwater 34 scale 5 string , thought I would try a heavier gauge than normal , but to heavy for me I’m afraid Only played to tune up then back off again . cut for 4 over 1 headstock , £16.50 includes UK p&p cheers John

I was doing my first summer season back then , I’m old now but was a great time to be learning bass lines .. Remember playing loads of Nik Kershaw in our sets ..The Riddle , wide boy .etc Also Level 42 , Toto , Prince and many others of that era ..I’d only been playing a couple of years so there were some challenging basslines to learn for me at the time .. I went on to work in many bands after .. but think this was my favourite time being a bass player .. skin tight jeans , yellow converse and a bleached mullet .. the fashion however sucked 😀

Selling this lovely Overwater , I did a trade on here for it , to try out 5 string again after years without one , it’s a fantastic bass with a super playable neck and sounds fantastic , but I really have no use for a five string as I no longer do gigs. Hi All Decided to sell my lovely Suhr owned from new , but I am hardly playing these days and have another Jazz ( Fender 70s vintage ) which has sentimental value . Bought new by me ( impulsively ) couple of years ago , original cost £2300. Its a fantastic bass with a sublime slim neck and is pretty lightweight at approximately 3.8kg , has a beautiful looking rosewood board . Suhr workshop relic ,with crazing in the nitro finish and a headstock nick that I reliced myself on a cymbal . specs....Classic J Antique 7.25 Radius Indian Rosewood board / Suhr plecked fret dress Qutersawn maple neck ( extra tinted) Alder body with Olympic white nitro finish and Tort plate Hipshot tuners and Gotoh vintage bridge includes Original Hard case £1650...
