I'll definatley try the bass and hope for that thick p bass sound. Already purchased some thomastik flats to go on there. Which pickups would be the best to achieve that thick sound ?

Can't stretch that far on student cash A lot of people mentioned they may sound weedy, what would you say to replace them with if mine turns out like that ? The quarter pounder p's or something completely different ?

I'm going to gamble and get a mex p bass. Hopefully it'll be one which is on the better end of the scale ... :/

Hi guys this is ripping me apart so please someone put me out of my misery ! So i was shown this jazz standard where there was a beautiful bass melody played at the beginning of it. The main melody is written for bass and its a sort of bass 'feature' (I think). Thing is I cannot remember what it was, I had written down 2 standards and youtubed them but I don't think they are the ones I'm looking for, unless I'm looking at duff videos. Affirmation First Light waterwings Ring any bells to anyone ? Its killing me !
