1. Item is in excellent condition and is as new, comes with all original packaging leads, and CD's. I've only had it a few weeks but I'm just not a fan of using endless rotaries live hence the sale. In studio or even live if you like the extra parameters afforded buy endless rotaries it will make an excellent controller and automap is actually really useful. £40 collected add £5 for delivery.
2. Yeh, hopefully behringer will leave them alone, and tbh i think they will, be nice if they learned a thing or two from them along the way. RCF aren't with mackie anymore tho, and are producing some lovely products now, so it seems they managed to recover but JBL has been a bit sucky for quite a while now and i cant see a similar return to past glories for them, shame really.
3. I dont think you cant get a PA for 500 people for £700. If your only doing vocals, id get the nicest used 2x12 tops you can and a used europower amp. Any more complexity in the system and prices increase to much.
4. Just how related to behringer are they? Midas & Klark Teknik have always impressed any behringer own them, albeit only recently.
5. As for recomendations spend some time with winisd and model loads of drivers till you get something that suits you conditions. For bass cabs I'd usually look at Sensitivity and Xmax first.
6. Sure you know already but it doesn't mean they need 700W of amp power to work well. As I'm sure other will say power handling is one of the last specs to get hung up about.
7. Bump, the crest is now sold C-audio still available tho.
8. Italians make the best drivers Your almost spoilt for choice. Assuming you can get those Italian made units for decent prices I'd go with them over Eminence to. Look at FaitalPro and B&C to altho they are both expensive. 4mm xmax isn't great tho so look out for a driver with a more, all the compaines you listed make ones. You haven't looked very hard if thats the only driver you found that is happy with low end. Plus if you dont need massive low end you should be able to get a very loud compact box. As for a midrange looking at BA's choice of 6 or 6.5 inch drivers beyma seem to do the good ones, just make sure its got a high sensitivity so i'll keep up with the 12's. http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=BMA...semode=category Finally if you do go ahead and make it with a correct X-over and with good components it will crush almost any commercial cab, plus building boxes is fun anyway.
9. Plus the collection is starting to get a bit to big! (shown less 2 amps)
10. Selling these two to help fund post exam celebrations and some new PA tops. Anyone got some they might be willing to part with? The Crest CA2 is in excellent condition and is a brilliant sounding professional power amp, does 2*250W at 4r or 500W into 8r bridge so power wise is perfect for bass cabs. £180. C-Audio RA3000 is a bit tatay in places but works just fine. This is another quality amp and gives 2*625W at 4r and 2*400 at 8r. £140. The Crest is in Nottingham and the C-Audio near Durham. Collection is preferred, and if needed I should be able to get either amp to either location given some time if this helps. Cheers Thomas
11. Mixer is on ebay and the Drawmer provisionally sold. I've also decided not to sell the tubas and just reload then at some point when I have a bit spare money. Amp and 8u case still for sale tho.
12. I have a Yamaha 01v mixer in good condition for sale at £350. Two unloaded dual driver tuba 24 suns, 24 inch wide. Recommended drivers are Eminence BP102, but quite a few others work well. Construction quality is pretty good with no leaks and a black aldcroft speaker finish but there are a couple slightly off edges, doesn't affect sound. Offers? Drawmer MX30 compressor/gate/limiter very good condition and a very nice sounding unit. £120 A Crest CA-2 amp, 500W at 8r bridge or 2x250W at 4r. Top quality amp sounds better than any switchmode I've heard, in very good condition, not to bad weight wise either. Add a nice ampeg pre or similar and I reckon you'll have one sweet sounding setup. £200 8u shallow SKB rack, average condition. £50 Collection from Nottingham or possibly near Hartlepool is preferred, I can try sort out delivery if wanted. I'll get some pictures if wanted.
13. Bump!! Price now reduced, I'll get it delivered to you door for £220. Nice power amps are of interest, so message if you got any of exchange. As promised photo's: Perfect condition once the dust is lifted Its been sat there or in its box for a long time. Since I want money for amps and speakers its got to go.

DIY cabs

Unless your loading the cab with a PD1850 12mm birch ply with some decent bracing should be plently. 15/18mm ply may be easier to work with if you're new to woodworking tho. Unfortunatly, you should expect to pay upwards of £40 a sheet, so when buying remeber to look out for even thickness in the layers and as few voids as possible. Its not really that hard to find if you look at the correct places, hell if you go for the 18mm thick stuff even B&Q stock it (and cut it for you), but you should try buy it from your timber merchant above them.

my bands new ep!

I like it, very very good actually. Clear pelican/isis sound and mastodon, but I particularly like the slightly dirtier Indian style sludge you seem to touch on in parts. Sounds well recorded to. Gratz!!!
16. Is there any pictures of it and what is the depth of the centre unit?
17. Selling my boss BR900CD 8 track recorder due to lack of use but really to fund a new amplifier. I got it two years 2 years ago and in that time its mainly just sat on top of my amp with occasional use of it's modelling functions and the inbuilt drum machine. It's very easy to use and when I did actually use it for recording it worked excellently and I got great sounding results. As such it is in near perfect condition and looks like new and I still have the box and manual for it. Click here for more useful information and to learn more of its features. Sorry, no pictures for the time being as its in Nottingham atm and I've gone home for a week, that also means it can't be posted/collected it till then. Now Looking for £220 posted to your door. Also now on ebay.
18. Marshall head case and gator rack are sold pending the usual. Just the Warick and SKB left now.
19. Bump with one more case, I need extra deep cases and since deep plastic cases are hard to find, so I'll be buying the heavy duty ply jobies. Means all these cases must go to fund them. Benifer you haven't replied to PM so I cant hold the stuff for you any longer, all back on sale but Marshall case may be spoken for.
20. If you do decide to splash out on a new driver look out for BMS, dont bother with the recomeded replacement thats likely to be a rip off. I've been mega impressed by BMS, and reckon they are as good or better than Beyma/B&C but should cost conciderably less. If you go down the BMS road you shouldn't need a new crossover (use a driver with same impedance as old) because I'm fairly confident any of the 1'' CDs by them will be able to play lower and handle more power than what went befor, but you might need a new volume control if you dont have one already as their very efficent tho. Saying that, for bass playing I'd just take the horn out, plug the hole and continue.
21. Great person to deal with. Sold a Mesa 400+ to Jim, he was reliable and very easy to deal with, and from brielfly meeting him seemed like a great guy. Thanks
22. Im actually more near Hartlepool so make it 10 mins. Again tho I'm sort of stepping out of bass playing and moving into PA so as good as your offer is and as lovely an amp as I know the SVT-3 pro (I played thru one) is I can't apecpt. I'll let you if the situation changes.
I live in Middlesbrough, just 20 minutes down the road from you. I have a flightcased Ampeg SVT-3 pro for sale with the flightcase and a rack tuner which all cost me well over £2,000, have you changed your mind about exchange? As i would exchange plus offer you cash! I'm desperate for a 400+!!!
23. I recetly played a Chevin Research A2000 for P.A and it was by far and away the nicest sounding power amp I have ever heard. Powerful and very lightweight it absolutly crushed my C-Audio, Crown and Behringer (QSC) amps and numerous other power amps I've tried/listened to. Look second hand and you can get them for quite a decenet price, if I had £500 going spare for a used one I'd own a Chevin right now. English company too.
24. Bump £725 Ebay on Monday or so I also have racks for sale in other musically related stuff forum
