1. I'm going to be listing this on eBay but before I do I thought I'd drop it on here and see if one in the bass community wants it. It a drop tune pedal that allows for a standard tuned instrument to sound up to 3 1/2 steps lower. I picked it up when I was in a band that were constantly changing between E, Eb and D Standard tunings as it meant I only needed one bass on stage. More recently I've been using the Sub Octave doubler or the full octave drop on one pre-amp channel of the Genz Benz head while leaving the other standard. Used this way it could also allow you to do two part harmony bass lines on the one istrument. Anyway, it's in its original box with power supply, manual and warranty registration card. It's in as new condition. The item is based near derby if you want to try before you buy. I'm looking for £100 for it. I'd estimate uk postage to be £6 or 7 but I'll get a definitive figure from the post office before any money changes hands. Cheers for looking.
2. This rig now resides with it's very happy new owner. Cheers Dave
3. Having seen this bass in the flesh I can say that it's beautiful. Oh if I hadn't needed the cash when I sold him my rig. Have a "this bass is giving me GAS bump"
4. Just taken a road trip to drop my Genz Benz rig off with Mark. The man is an absolute pleasure to deal with and his wife makes a great cup of coffee. If he wants to buy your gear then you can be confident that it will be a smooth transaction.
5. I personally love the GBE750 through the 610 cab. But in all seriousness, being able to set the solid state amp too give a nice clear punchy attack, then set the valve amp to give a warm crunch, and run them both simultaneously gives the most flexibility I have ever come across in a bass amp. Can't really comment on TC stuff as I've never used any.
6. To be honest with you I don't really know. I bought it used, about 6 months ago, from a guy who said it was about 18 months old. Whether it is actually two years old or not I couldn't say for certain. All I can tell you is that it's in good condition and has been looked after really well. Everything works as it should. None of the pots are scratchy. And it sounds beautiful. I really wish I had the space to keep it as I know I'll regret selling it.

11. Well it's still here and owing to the fact that I've been incredibly busy this weekend I have been unable to get it listed on eBay. I'll hold off listing it until tomorrow as that way I won't have to end early if you do want it. Cheers.

Sold my compressor to Chris, great bloke to deal with, very understanding. Perfect transaction.
13. Friday night bump. The Cab is going on ebay this weekend. If/when it sells the listing will be updated, unless one of you wonderful people wants to take the full rig from me before then.

17. Not a flicker of interest since the price drop. Someone must have the need for this rig.
18. Right, here's my bass rig. It was for sale, at £700, in the new classifieds section before the site decided to carry on using the market place (a move that I fully support). It is with a heavy heart that I'm selling this rig, but the band I was in have ceased to exist and as such it's just not getting used. I've also been informed by [s]her who does not play bass[/s] the wife that it takes up too much space in the room that needs to be a nursery. The head is a Genz Benz GBE750 in good condition. It's housed in a Thon 5U flight case, so plenty of space for all the other rack mount goodies, with extra rails fitted at the back so I could wire it up from a rackmount, surge protected, 6 way socket bar; all of which is included in the sale. The Cab is a Genz Benz XB2-610T which is also in good condition. This is the old ad where pictures can be viewed, and links to the product specs, as I can't get the pictures to upload http://basschat.co.uk/classifieds/item/67-genz-benz-rig-definitely-for-sale/ I want this rig to go to a good home where it is going to be used as an amp rather than a door stop. I don't want to split this as I need to get rid of all of it to generate space for the nursery, however, if you do want just the Cab then message me as I have a list as long as my arm of people who've messaged me about buying the head. I'm located close to the M1 J28 so fairly central in the country if you wish to come and try out the beast. These are not light weight items so transfer of ownership would have to be by collection, although if you ask nicely and are willing to reimburse my travel costs then I might be able to meet half way or deliver in person. Thanks for looking. Please buy as it's getting close to having to list this on eBay. Cheers Dave
19. Having brought my new head home today I can now confirm that the speakon connector does work.
20. There's been lots of people browsing but no interest so I thought I'd better clarify in the post title that it's a cab and not a combo.
21. Right, as promised, I've been to the rehearsal room this evening and taken some pictures of the cab. This is the front of the cab, a bit dusty in the port, but in a nice condition. This the top of the cab. This is the right hand side. And the left. The back. The back plate. And finally the details. Just to confirm Model No. - ABM 115 500 Impedance - 8 Ohm Power - 300W
22. Hey guys, As some of you may know, I've been on the look out for a new head for a while. Well, over the weekend I managed to score a cracking deal on a new rig. As a result my faithful Ashdown 1x15 Cab is no longer required. It'll be a sad day to see it go but it's cluttering up valuable real estate in the rehearsal space, and I need to replenish some funds! At the moment I have no pictures available but I plan on getting in to the room with a camera either tonight or tomorrow night. Here's what I remember; It's in a well taken care of but gigged condition, a few scuffs here and there but nothing major. The cabs previous owner had a Speakon socket fitted in parallel with the two jack sockets, although I cannot confirm that the speakon socket works as I've never tested it. It produces the standard, old, warm rich Ashdown tones, as far as I'm aware it's a pre EVO version so it would be one of the British made models, although I've never tracked the serial number so again I can't validate this information. Oh, just in case anyone's wondering; it's the full size cab, not the compact. I can confirm that it fits in the boot of a ford focus. On to the money; I'm looking for somewhere close to £200 in a cash value. PM me with offers, I'm polite so the worst that I'll say is no. On the trade front; The reason I'm selling is to replenish funds so I can buy and EBS Octabass pedal. So if you have one of those that you're not using, and a bit of cash, then once again, PM me with an offer. Collection preferred, although other arrangements can be made This cab's not going to be around for long as if it doesn't move fairly quickly I'll chuck it on evilbay and take what I can get. Cheers for reading Dave
23. I'll chime in on this one to agree with everyone else. What seems like a bad gig can sometimes be your perception. The band I'm in played in Derby last weekend. From my position on stage my bass sounded off, my playing sounded attrocious, I couldn't hear the guitar for 90% of the set! I felt it was the single worst gig the band had ever played. Oh how wrong was I? We set a new band record for merch sales, I had to spend the majority of the rest of the evening fending of people complimenting us, and the venue were on the phone the following day trying to re-book us for later in the year. Basically, seeing as though you're in the band, you don't get an opinion on how well a show went. The only people who are allowed an opinion on your shows are the crowd and the venue/promoter. So chalk it up to experience and keep working on being as tight as possible.
