    I've owned both Euro and US Spectors and always thought the US ones were significantly better than the Euros. Better finished, nicer woods and colours and had more punch to the core sound. However I'd never pay £4K for one. Decent used Euros are about £850 and there are some very nice US ones for about £1,500 (bit more for really nice tops or rare woods). At £1,500 I'd say they are a top quality instrument but at £4K they're over-priced compared to a lot of other high end US made basses.

    There's a great tech near me in Reading who's more than happy to work with Aguilar. Bit of a trek from Bristol though The oops official Aguilar tech is up in the North East somewhere. I'll have details if you can't get it sorted. He's an expert on these and super fast and efficient.

    There are some good used synths around for this sort of money. Obviously very different but you can pick up an almost new Novation Mininova for £150 on eBay these days.

    Sold privately Bought tickets to see this gig after seeing the wonderful Billy Sheehan live earlier this year. If anyone hasn't seen Billy live then this is a great opportunity to see him at his best plus there's the amazing Paul Gilbert on guitar as well : Unfortunately my daughter has been taken ill and had an operation today & I now can't make it. Two friends are going so it would be possible to meet up before the gig to collect the ticket and pay for it. Tickets cost £31.63 so there's a bit of a discount because it's obviously a very late opportunity. I'd rather a fellow BC person got it than flog it to a tout at the door I think there's a reasonable chance this will be in the set list. . . It's actually labelled as an NP5F Custom. It has angled pole pieces which the F version doesn't usually have so my guess is that the Custom part is the set up of the angles rather than straight ones (if that makes sense!). Looks brand new, never fitted, wires perfectly could and don't appear to have any traces of solder. Price is £85.
