I think the dot markers are bolts holding the fingerboard on.
Is it wrong to say that I quite like it? -

As you say, all I need to do now is decide how much I want it.

Enough to pull the trigger it would seem... I'm terrified now! -
Very nice.

I can't crop my avatar, neither in IE or Chrome. I get the crosshairs and can select the area I want, but when I click done I get a pop-up saying that I need to finish editing first.
Any suggestions? -
Make one 4 and one 5er and send them out one after the other

Thank you for that, that approach hadn't occurred to me! He's going to take some more pictures in daylight at my request so it does sound genuine. As you say, all I need to do now is decide how much I want it.

I'm actually between the two, so either. Let's not derail this topic about how nice BCers are though and take it to events or PM.

How about this one?

I was making noises about having one in Northampton (http://basschat.co.u...bass-bash-2013/) but I didn't get around
to doing anything about it. Re-reading my thread the consensus is build it and they will come (maybe )
PM me if you want to collaborate this year on one. -
No offer of passing on my contact details, just got the response of what do you need to know.

What sort of questions should I be asking about this? The thing that really puts me off is the "selling for a friend" bit. -
Dang, missed it

Could I take an instrument jack to 3.5mm jack cable from a line out into the microphone port on a laptop for a quick recording to pass on without any ill effects?
-
I'm going to say warm! I don't dislike the road-worn look, but I'd prefer it to do it naturally, every scuff tells a story sort of thing, so it seems a bit silly to scuff it up without the history if that makes any sense at all!

I normally listen to it, play the root notes along with the guitarist and then I listen to it properly and find out all the stuff that I didn't hear in the first place! An MP3 player, headphones and lots and lots of repetition. If I can find the TAB then I'll use it but so many are just plain wrong, even the 5* rated ones.

Hey no probs. We all have off moments
I do the same thing at work when I've been asked the same question by three different people even though it's new to person number three
I'm after a 5 string P-Bass but all the Squires I've seen on the Fender website have a normal p-pickup so the two Jazz setup looked weird to me. There's another on eBay in black with no strings. According to the advert, for a small fee, the seller will string it for you! -
Does this mean that the new P-Bass 5er on eBay from the US for £700 + about another £70 shipping is going to end up costing more than it would if I bought it over here? I did think it was too nice to happen!

Exit to the Imperial March from Star Wars :-)
I wanted to but wasn't allowed :-(
I also suggesting Killing in the Name Of as the first dance, that got vetoed as well.
We both suggested Du Hast but didn't get it or many of our other more sensible suggestions due to the appalling "DJ" we hired. -

Yes it's a Squier (note the spelling). Not a Squire.

Yeah, I saw that after I'd posted, but it was late and I'm on my phone.
Dannybuoy, thanks for the info
Squier5, sorry that I don't know everything and have upset you by asking such an obvious question. -
Any ideas what this is? The shape is right but the pickups are wrong and the neck plate isn't on straight.

You mean like this one?

Er... Maybe... :; -
Can you see John Hall making a Lemmy sig? I think he'd top himself first!
I'd have a Steve Harris sig if it wouldn't just sit around looking pretty as I'd never use it. -
Just the question I've been asking myself
FS/FT Schaller 3D4 Chrome Bridge - SOLD
in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Posted · Edited by Si600
I have a Schaller 3D4 bridge in chrome. I don't have any shims or screws for it though.
It's pre German re-unfication and says made in W. Germany on it so quite old, maybe that makes it vintage or antique and I can ask hundreds for it, but I doubt it
I'm after a probably overpriced £20 inc posting or trade for a Schaller 3D5 bridge also in chrome.
EDIT - it doesn't say made in W. Germany! But it is sold pending the usual.
